By Pedja Go To PostGoing from 2 to 3 to 4 to 5 is hard stuff to understand lads.
Reminds me of that one time when my little bro convinced himself he'll go all in with Street Fighter 4, his first proper fighting game. He went and bought a super expensive fighting stick, despite my warnings to take it slow, play with a joypad first, see if he even likes it, etc.
He asked me to help sell said fighting stick less than a week later, he never touched a fighting game again.

By Laboured Go To PostGods, just like with the Remedy / Take2 trade mark opposition stuff, Era just has the most clueless fucking takes on intellectual property. I realise it's not a simple subject and it's not like it's something that's usually taught at school, but my God the confidence with which people are wrong is just frightening.Horse, pls. You should know better. The place is a fucking cesspool of cuntish behaviour of the highest order.
By Dazenheimer Go To Posthow about now?
I don’t need to to buy Tekken 8 to be titillated. I just need a name and a search bar.
By Xpike Go To Postlmao bitch got tired of losingIt's not even that, he's never shown any real interest in fighting games before, just got caught up in the SF4 hype and immediately realized he done goofed. To this day I use this unfortunate event to caution / mock him anytime he gets unreasonably excited about something.

As in ResetEra?
Surely not

Not sure what that says about the game now
Lots of the best players have played with pads since fighting games got ported to console. In Tekken, sf, etc.
The real cheater shit are the hitbox/leverless controllers.

Trying to get a hitbox for Ps5 for Tekken 8 and it's like deciphering a puzzle or some shit unless you want to pay $300 dollars:
1. Buy some kind of weird adapter for 60 dollars
2. Find a compatible hitbox off AliExpress or some shit for sub $100
wtf

I just like the feel and sounds of a stick more than a pad or leverless, so that's what I use.
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostTrying to get a hitbox for Ps5 for Tekken 8 and it's like deciphering a puzzle or some shit unless you want to pay $300 dollars:Just use a pad or stick. It's Tekken, only 4 buttons.

By Kidjr Go To PostI prefer street fighter but tekken 3 is up there with sf3, alpha 3 and virtue fighterFully agree.
Alpha 3 in the arcade and then on the PSX, and later on PSP and even Vita, was an incredible game.
Tekken 2 and 3 on PSX were also great. Could argue that Tekken 2 sold more PlayStation's than anything around that time.
Soul Caliber on Dreamcast was something, but Virtua Fighter 4 on PS2 was when I knew arcades were dead, dead. Like, other than being out of the house and mixing it up with people in a smoke filled room, how could it get any better than this?

By Laboured Go To PostHrm. That Lil Guardsman game looks gud too. Loved Papers, Please.Damn it sounds so good especially if you know about Papers Please
Out on everything too god bless
grew up with sticks because my dad had a few generic arcade cabs in his shop that had the boards switched out every few weeks.
;_;
;_;
I have that Street Fighter 4 Madcatz stick too. Piece of shit isn't compatible with a Goddamn thing post PS3. Lesson learned. Never again. Honestly one of the reasons I've stepped away from fighters since then. I love using a stick but I'm not going to buy a new one every generation.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostI’m still using my Hori PS3/PS4 stick on my PS5 for SF6.
adapter?

It often requires you to have a first-party controller to tether the stick to, though.
Or you could just replace the circuit board with one of the Brooks boards that is compatible with all the systems.

Not sure if it's a genre convention or not, but I spent a pretty annoying amount of time in PoP in the Sacred Archives running through the same rooms with no challenge after being either caught by the jailer, or killed by the doppelganger
It reminded me of the bits that most piss me off when playing From games, in a way that I thought the industry had largely solved with better checkpointing.
Tekken 3 and oddly Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance are the only fighting games I've really become invested in, looking back I probably only liked the latter because I had nothing to compare it to.

I was going to avoid Palworld because it was so popular. Now after seeing how upset it made the Eurogamer manchild, I may have to partake

Will try again with some friends tonight and see if I'll refund it or not.
