By inky Go To PostI think Outlaws is something I'd enjoy. Stealth focus, pick your faction kinda deal and chill, sparse open world. Shame about the Star Wars setting. But, yeah, it basically needs a sequel to iron out the kinks. Too many reported performance issues and little annoyances like insta-fail states and bad checkpoints on top of non-existent systems and lack of variety to the shooter aspect.
Before you know it, it'll be $20 on steam and we can see then.
I plan to play it later in the year when it drops in price. Looks fun. Ubisoft games always go on deep discounts though so it feels pointless buying it on release.
I know there’s the whole Ubisoft subscription I could get to run through the game for £15 or whatever but I’d rather buy it because there’s no guarantee I can beat it in a month. Took me a whole year to play through Sekiro, I’m still on a playthrough of MGSV I started two years ago.
By inky Go To PostNeat, Industria (gog) is free on Prime.Felt very much like dev's first game to me and I never finished it, but I'm keeping an eye on the sequel. The vibes are on point.
Score.
By Laboured Go To PostCunts.
oh so when it's actual evil they're soft about it.
Star Wars Outlaws is good. But it's probably the worst starting game I've played in years. I'd give the first few hours a 5 out of 10. It's up to an 8 now after getting off the first planet and could get even better.
Spencer clearly regards those decisions as mistakes, but he doesn't beat himself up over them. "I'm not a regrets-type person," said Spencer, "I passed on so many games that I could look back and say 'Argh!' but, no, I try to look forward and be positive."Phil will save the brand with good vibes and positive energy🧘
Insane tweet

It would make sense waiting for a couple of patches to drop, but I think I'm gonna jump in right after Wukong.

Holy shit
Therefore, at this time, we have decided to take the game offline beginning September 6, 2024, and explore options, including those that will better reach our players.
While we determine the best path ahead, Concord sales will cease immediately and we will begin to offer a full refund for all gamers who have purchased the game for PS5 or PC. If you purchased the game for PlayStation 5 from the PlayStation Store or PlayStation Direct, a refund will be issued back to your original payment method.
Holy shit
By domino Go To PostDamn concord flopped so hard they are refunding itGreat news for those five people
refunding prior to relaunching as F2P is at least better than I was expecting. Can't think of something that crashed and burned as big as this did.

Holy shit
Pull the plug stop the bleeding
I can still see those excited tweets from the developers.
"I've been working on this forever, can't wait for you all to finally experience it!!"
Shut down after weeks. Absolutely fucking brutal.

Perhaps more importantly though, Umbral Abyss is a god-tier Transformation in Wukong. Paired with A Pluck Of Many ... devastation.
I would have just went free to play with Halloween skins/season pass
Oof x yikes just shutting down Concord

Immediate thought was they'll relaunch as F2P
But thinking about it more...no one was interested in the open beta, going F2P costs money and resources itself. I don't know...they might just kill it.

This game had 2 free betas iirc. Couldn't get past 2500 CCU. There were 30 players on steam today, that's barely enough for 3 whole lobbies going.
F2P wouldn't do anything for this game other than more expensive work for the devs.

You just know Sony will double down after this with more live service games. You only need one hit to pull off the perpetual money glitch.

Should have kept the Japan studio open and given them the funding instead. Eight years, down the drain.

Not like 3 consecutive failures stopped Ubisoft. Publishers will keep trying until they get one that sticks.
