By jjasper Go To PostSo with Star Wars being mid another year that goes by without a good space game one day we will get another one. May still get Star Wars when it is 20 just cause it is a Star Wars game with a nobody character and no space magic which is novelThat's what Ubisoft+ is for.
By Punished Go To PostInstalling Elden Ring for the first time.Well aren’t you in for a treat?
I still need to plat the damn thing but got kinda burned out on my NG2 run. I'm at the end though ... maybe this week.
Was joking when I said they turned Dragon Age into Kingdoms of Amalur but they really did those crazy bastards.
Elden Ring took me 92 hours across three characters to 100% (base game only). Great game, although quest design could be a bit better.
By WoodenLung Go To PostIt's kinda interesting to see such a massive bomb. Even high profile ones where the writing's been on the wall for ages (Suicide Squad, Redfall, Skull and Bones, etc) get thousands of players at launch. Even if out of morbid curiosity but some people show up.
My industry insider (fascism) informed me Sex with Hitler had more players.
Game respect game
That Concord couldn't even crack 1K is almost unheard of.

did it all on a single playthrough.
(save-scummed the endings as I'd met every ending condition in said playthrough keksimus maximus)
Yeah it's not that hard to do on a single character. My first character I technically only missed the Dung Eater's ending condition. My Vagabond was Ranni pilled like the rest of the world and the dungster is such a fucking nasty ass character.
Samurai I pretty much did everything with.
My third character was a straight Lord of Frenzy Prophet run because I thought that ending deserved its own crazy ass bastard. Forgive me, Mélina 💔

finished Wukong and I cant wait to slap on easy mode on Outlaws, and just empty my head on something brainless.
Ubisoft seem to be getting worse and worse at plugging games into their formula. Shame, I'm in the mood for an open world checklist-ticker.

The DLC has a new difficulty modifier that triggers if you have already beaten the DLC's final boss in a previous JourneyOf course 😭
Watch VaatiVidya's last video btw. So fucking good
By Willkiller Go To PostWillstradamus
Damn, one away
Ubisoft will churn out their style of open world games until the end of time and there’s nothing you can do to stop them.
They’re often okay games too. Bloated, often a bit lazy but firmly okay games. Play one of them every 5 years and they’re enjoyable.

Was Aliens Dark Descent good?
Never really got on with any RTS games, tend to find that I just wish they were turn based

By FortuneFaded Go To PostIt is, and I wish Starfield had something like it.
Bitch, that’s a loading screen.
By Flutter Go To PostIt is, and I wish Starfield had something like it.It does? The scenes just aren’t long enough to mask the loading screens
Starfield also has cinematic docking/undocking animations with ships and space stations and people hated those too. At some point it was just a bitch eating crackers situation.
I mean, heck, I liked the elevator conversations in Mass Effect 1. It was pretty seamless all things considered but people complained so much about it that Bioware never did that again on ME2/3 and just had regular loading screens. Then in Mass Effect Andromeda, they put landing and taking off animations and people hated them, so Bioware took them out again.

Just realised that there are two games subtitled Dark Descent, thought I'd got it wrong for a moment
The best bit of any spacefaring game is the approach to a new planet or space station, and the sense of scale that results from it. Don't care how they do it, every game should try and give the player as much control as possible. Or at least do a Dead Space and let the player see the process from a constant perspective. Obviously I'd start skipping it if it took five minutes to go from orbit to surface and vice versa.
Feel like the Souls Coins and Gale Donation mechanics in BG3 are so insignificant that they must have been planned to be much more important, but were then basically dropped as they wouldn't have been any fun to focus on. Haven't found any better Rogue armour in about 80 hours.

I think they wanted to use it like in DnD where you can release the soul trapped in the coin.
But I haven't found any way how so it remains as a Karlach boost.
Can be fun if you overfeed her with them though.

By HottestGrapes Go To PostIt does? The scenes just aren’t long enough to mask the loading screensThere was that one mission where you're actually in the ship as it takes off from a planet and up to space, so I'm definitely talking about that.
It's those little things that I wish was added.
By C4-621 Go To PostThat's hot.
Just what I needed when my old Razer controller is crapping out.
By Lupercal Go To PostThat's hot.If you like wireless, be sure to read up on details on this as the PS5 controller on PC does not support many features over wireless.
