I think Jak & Daxter is still great
Was really looking forward to replaying Jak 2 a few years ago until I realised how slowly the camera moves. Funny how games can have these tiny imperfections that just ruin the entire experience.
Platinumed Unicorn Overlord, Astro's Playroom and Dave The Diver in the last couple of weeks. Feeling an urge to restart Bloodborne, but I really can't be bothered with boss runs these days, especially in games I've already played.
Can't recall how bad Sekiro is for that, tempted to give it another go. Never really grabbed me the way other From games have, found making progress to be a fleeting relief rather than actually enjoying it.
edit: Sekiro is half price on PSN, still 30 Starmers. Worse than Nintendo, these cunts.

Low skill players abandon games that they get dumpstered in repeatedly. SBMM alleviates that issue.
Higher skill players get frustrated playing on equal footing because they feel they should be dumped on low skill players. Despite that, SBMM is still in their best interests whether they realise it or not.
Finally, a vocal minority of higher skill players complain the most about it. The one’s with an online following on YT/Twitter/etc. tend to set the public opinion that SBMM is bad which then gets echoed throughout the community.
I’m a fan of SBMM. Sure I’ve had my fun play games without it over the years, but the most enjoyable FPS games I’ve played have had SBMM that consistently providing to close games.

I do miss mixed skill lobbies but with both teams having a similar skill mix. Not perfect but leads to interesting games where you pick your lane based off your relative skill and the game flow.

I'm about ten hours into Days Gone. This is a decent looking game. And that's it. The rest has been largely shit.
The lead, Decon, is incredibly unlikable and the voice acting is all over the place.
Gameplay wise, the game doesn't know what it wants to be. It's a shallow 3rd person shooter at heart, but then they pile on all these xp meters for that RPG itch and it all just feels so unnecessary.
It's like they played Witcher 3 and Last of Us 2 and thought, wouldn't it be fun to do that in our part of the country with a biker bro? And it just isn't. I don't think Bend have the talent to pull off something like this in the way that it would need to be done. Every aspect of this so far feels half baked.

This shit’s pretty fun. Hectic, weird. Didn’t fully understand what I was doing besides looking for a teleporter but I finished the first level and died in the second. I could see myself playing a lot more of it.
