By Laboured Go To PostIdk what's wrong with me but that doom trailer didn't do all that much for me. I think it's almost more the way it's edited than the game itself not being exciting.
yeh it was basically pad gameplay that was a dude walking in a straight line shooting at enemies lined up in front of him. The basic metal soundtrack didn't help much either.
Hopefully we get a few thick gameplay trailers like Eternal had
I just have a slight derision for the Doom trailer, because I've wanted Quake to go back to its medieval route for decades.
I guess that IP is (mostly) dead tho, so well, this is fine.

By Willkiller Go To PostWell, Valve confirmed it's sold "multiple millions". Which could only be 2, but it's a very niche thing.
It's not competing with Xbox/Playstation/Switch
I think we have a misunderstanding here. My point is that if Microsoft want a slice of the handheld PC sales, it’s a small fucking cake. Even if they matched the Steam Deck sales, they would be considered poor sales for a console manufacturer.
Microsoft also wouldn’t have the benefit of the Steam store to profit from game sales on the device. Since the Microsoft store is even less popular than the EGS on PC.
If they went the other route and made an actual Xbox handheld. With it’s own Xbox OS, it would likely fair even worse since they’d need to actually make games for it then to drive sales.
yeah that's my take too. i just don't see how this will be anything but a Zune kinda situation for MS. Maybe someone that is not Phil could figure it out but he certainly can't.

All they need to do is make Windows not shit to use on a handheld. That alone would drive up the sales for the Windows handhelds, which in turn will benefit them by giving them more users and more victims to hawk gamepass to.

By C4-621 Go To PostSounds like a bunch of nothing
Also a former FromSoftware art director is working on it (DeS/DS1)
Inspired by MGR, Sifu and Bloodborne with Ninja Gaiden gameplay and its semi-open world with horseback riding?
The only horse backing riding that takes place in any of those games is Ninja Gaiden, and that’s the enemy
By Laboured Go To Post"QUAKE WILL NEVER DIE! QUAKE IS LIFE!" - Kibner, probablyI’ve never played much Quake other than Quake Champions, tbh. I just have immense respect for the Q2 engine which drove so many great feeling games.
handheld is probably OEM, and probably, their next gen as well.
Figure the handheld will sell well enough, but yeah, no one should expect tens of millions sold in a couple of years. I guess trying to ensure that Linux doesnt gain a foothold in the gaming market is the pivot they took.

FM slowly taking over the world of football. Bless.
This year we should see the new engine and the women's leagues as well.

The alt right crying has been tiresome for a while now but the predictability and frequency is really taking it to another level these days.

By Zabojnik Go To PostVeilguard looking good. I wouldn't mind a less cerebral, big budget rpg.
Saw that Avowed interview earlier, and while they really shied away of delving deep into the interesting bits (writing, quests, decision making), I'm liking what I'm seeing.
Really looks like a really focused RPG that carries on the tone and style of the PoE games. Third person confirmation is :chefkiss:

I’m incredibly concerned that Avowed will just be a high fantasy version of The Outer Worlds. Not a bad game, just very mid. Hopefully I’m wrong and it’ll be great.

I got a discreet wall bracket for that Series S. My inner SFF PC boy really likes the overall look of it. Small and minimalist. Definitely sticking with wall mounts going forward for consoles. Just a very clean look, and makes hiding cables a piece of piss.

IDK Avowed seems like Tropical Elder Scrolls with a guaranteed strong plot and better combat.
Low key goty contender.

By C4-621 Go To PostAvowed already looking like Skyrim but not trash ngl
This is the only wrong opinion you’ve ever shared, and you’re loved by all of us. So this time, you get a pass. However I would appreciate no further besmirching of Skyrim.
