Starting to delve into the gambits in UO, really hated setting them up in ffxii but enjoying it here so far.
Vast majority of characters still only have one action and one passive though, not sure how complicated it'll get as that increases.
Can't tell whether the game is too easy at it's core or whether it's just too easy to overlevel yourself and basically swarm the enemy with units. Might bump up to the hardest available difficulty for now.

I forgot the level thresholds, but it's usually 5-15-25 10-20-30 for additional active and passives. Also, much of the equipment past the intro stages introduces new active and passives stuff too - so you can straight up turn off innate stuff and build around what you find. Which gets incredibly deep as you can imagine.
I think your Travis and my own were already dramatically different since I had mine as a speed shaman-lite essentially lol. instead of building into damage or dodge, I just had him designed to eat through guard passives and debuff rows far faster than most enemies could deal with - it even carried over into coliseum too.
But yeah, the game is easy because you're not dumb. There are people running around with full archer squads getting smoked and blaming the game all the same.
