It’s gamepass core that’s required for online play. The peasant tier that’s just a rebrand of XBL Gold. They’d still need to upgrade to the higher tier for CoD.

Clearly the goal is get them subbed and to keep them subbed to gamepass year round. Whether it’ll work, eh. I honestly doubt it. Most people I work with play CoD on Xbox and only two of them subscribe to full gamepass.
I talked a friend into subscribing to gamepass last year for Starfield instead of buying it outright because he didn’t understand what it even is. The marketing and messaging is pretty fucking poor honestly.

Curious to see what COD does for gamepass on PC because it doesn’t look like it will do anything for Xbox aside from crashing the game’s revenue on it.
They'll have to raise the price but it's hard to know how they'll do it. A CoD only tier doesn't make sense. My guess is there's a new tier for certain AAA titles day 1 moving forward.
COD on gamepass is kind of a last ditch effort to get new subs. I have doubts as a lot of cod players on Xbox probably already have game pass and people that only play cod can probably do quick math to see that it is cheaper to just buy it. Will be interesting to see how it shakes out and the ramifications depending on if it fails or succeeds

maybe I'm missing something but why would CoD do anything for game pass subs? The whole draw of Game Pass is being able to play hundreds of different games all for $15/month or whatever the price is.

Very much looking forward to playing this. I'm too young to have lived through the early crpg era, I only caught the very end of it, but for some reason this game resonates with my nostalgia. I started randomly following the developer on Twitter some years ago and somehow got hooked.
Code Veronica will be terrific. Pretty much right there with the original games in terms of quality imo.
Zero is considered good from a general gaming standpoint but not very good from a RE ranking standpoint. Basically you control two characters at once and it was perhaps a bit too ambitious for the time. With modern design it could be really good.
