Might buy Unicorn Overlord even though I didn't really get on with the demo, having read that it takes 40-50 hours to do everything

depressing
but talking about things that actually matter, I really hope the next ND game doesnt use gen-ai.

Works on undead enemies in final fantasy š
Not much feels worse in doubles in a battle royale than being two-on-one at the end with the opponent flanked and still contriving to lose.

Regsrding my ending choice;
As you can tell I felt the entire concept of honor to be dumb, and so did Jin. They would have lost the war following Shimura lots of people would have died. Honor then sent my uncle to kill me. So I found it fitting to spare Shimura. Several reasons. Jin is no longer samurai. Heās separated himself from the system and isnāt tied to some concept of honor. He has no obligation outsider of doing what his uncle asks. While he loves his uncle and doesnāt want to kill him., sending him back empty would seem to imply heās likely gonna be disgraced. Something he deserves IMO.
I understand then honor kill perspective, though. He loves his uncle so why not respect his wish? That said I was so pissed at Shimura that I did what I wanted and not what he wanted, even if Jon loves him.. That seems to be an overall theme for Jin through the geme anyway. He grew from doing what he was asked to do, to doing what he wants / needs to do.
Edit: also I was still pissed he wanted me to toss my homegirl under the buss to save my ass. Whereās the honor in that Shimirs?!

You chose well it was actually the most honorable thing and saved both characters. Shimura will become detective Gordon in the sequel most likely.
I made the same choice.
Make sure you try the Monkey Samurai armor you get from Iki island. Lets just say it changes the combat in an interesting way lol

I was more referring to the side tales actually.
Lady Masako
Norio
Ishikawa
Yuna
Ishikawaās was the least sad so probably that one. š
Edit:
I'm super glad I played this game. It's just wonderful. It has some issue with facial animations and wack NPC animations, and it also suffers some from the repetitive missions that most all open world games struggle with, but it' was still immensely satisfying for me to play.
Coming from Rebirth and DD2, this really hit the spot too.
Like ... even though the side quests kinda dragged, there is enough random shit like Haiku, petting foxes, playing the flute and reflecting on things in pools that it breaks up some of the monotony and lets you soak in the beauty of the world built around you. I also think those side quests make sense thematically. I'm saving my people in the least honorable way possible and building that character narrative. I'm not just climbing a fucking tower to unlock more battle simulator shit that results in me having to here "cloud" from chadley. I'm not doing a minigame mushroom picking quest or leading a fucking chicken home. And the best armors items aren't hidden behind said lame mini games, they're behind awesome side quests ending in rad as fuck duels. From a story standpoint it just shits all over both too. DD2 story was trash. Not sure why they convoluted an OG masterpiece story with the multiverse too. Just fucking dumb. Rebirth is prolly a 6/10 for me and DD2 prolly a 7 outta 10 since some smallish tweaks would elevate it to an 8.
Anyway ,.. cannot wait to go play the expansion island. Should have enough time after to load up eldin ring and git gud again in time for the expansion.

First one is good.
Eternal > Doom 2016 for me. When you get in the full flow of the combat, it's incredible. You get into a flow state in much the same way you do in a Hotline Miami or something. Shame about the extra focus on the story though, didn't need that at all.
I'm actually really, really enjoying this dragon age inquisition playthrough. I liked the game the first time around, but now there's a lot more stuff that I either didn't appreciate fully or believed was going to be the norm going forward.
This crafting system for example is great and I don't get why it wasn't copied or built upon more. The zones are all large and layered and not simply gated. Its oddly similar to what Xenoblade did so well.
The characters are *way* better than what I remember and just about each can pivot a lot depending on not just what you do throughout the game but how you define your own identity as well. There's frauds in your party that reassess their own bullshit depending on how you navigate the false Messiah push your own zealots throw at your feet constantly. Some are validated simply being a foil.
Gameplay is a bit dated but man. I'm genuinely bothered this got such a bad rap looking back lol
