The OG digital item marketplace and eschewing games development to run a digital game purchase storefront. Profits be damned!
I tried Italian Souls for a few hours btw, the demo is 8 fucking hours.
Beautiful music and atmosphere but fuck me probably the clunkiest soulslike I have ever played. Some of the animations are straight up unfinished (I hope)
So many great ideas and some actually unique status effects for once. Shame
Well they have 4 months to tweak it up ig

Played a bit of Nier Automata, pretty fucking cool tbh
Wasn’t expecting it to be a bullet hell shooter lol

By Dazenheimer Go To PostYou want to **** 2B don't you?
Isn’t that the point of the story?

By jjasper Go To PostOnly people disappointed are the ones that continue to follow Phil’s twitter trolls that act like every upcoming Xbox release is the greatest thing ever and totally gonna turn around the narrative. No, it's disappointing because it's not good at all.
What on earth are you talking about
If it's anything like the first one, it does what it set out to do extremely well. The first one made me very uncomfortable when I played it, so I didn't look at the second one at all. So, if it is more of the same, it is great for what it is.

It's utter lunacy
By Flutter Go To PostNo, it's disappointing because it's not good at all.I mean it sounds like like a sequel to hellblade nothing more and really there was no reason to expect anything more other than Phil’s army trying its best to make people think it was going to be some masterpiece.

From the moment they showed that frame skipping combat animations I knew it was going to be toilet

The story is a mess of what's fantasy and what's psychosis.
They use their psychosis as a crutch at times to tell you what to do or remind you what the story is about.
Battles are gorgeous, but becomes a joyless rote.
You are thrown into wide open areas but you're stuck in a virtual corridor to move about.
Puzzles are inane.
Some set pieces have the dissonance where you're supposed to be immersed with Senua's struggles, but all you do in those moments is press up on the analog stick, that it makes me wish there was QTE(!) or it's a cutscene instead.
ninja theory lol
trash dev
the only game they made with serviceable combat had someone looking over their shoulders and they went and added color coded enemies to it
bums

lol Japanese companies have been stealing money from MS and other western pubs for so long, I understand smashing it
remember when shinji mikami had a meeting with someone and they weren't sure about funding resident evil 4? good times.
they got dino crisis 3 instead and paid for it, this is how the universe heals

replaying dragon age inquisition because why not
will never understand bioware consistently moving the best villains in their catalogue to dlc

I really want to like Hellblade 2, but it definitely needs more time in the oven. Add better puzzles, make going off the occasional beaten path to be interesting, and fix some of the stuff I pointed up above.

It's free on epic store until tomorrow, for people who want to play it

Just got to the one and only ending of Nier Automata.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostFinished Nier Replicant. Does Automata have a similar vibe?
By C4-621 Go To PostYes!Why did you lie Yurt? Replicant was a cosy little rpg where I helped deliver mail to an old woman living in a lighthouse. This was not the same vibes.
By DY_nasty Go To Postthey spent years on something^I'm guessing a part of it has to do with UE5 only being feature complete at the end of 2022, and this game makes heavy usage of that.
would be interesting to know where most of the effort went tbh
Ninja Theory is barely over 100 people, working on two projects at the same time, and they only started work on the game after the reveal teaser.

data was right, we should have stopped at ps2 levels
By Dazenheimer Go To PostWhy deny PC bros a purpose in life?Fear not, at PS2 level graphics, we’d be having a ball with 1000hz monitors.
I think pc bros are more interested in games that you need to use a kb + mouse, like rts and strategy stuff, than just maximum graphics tbh, doubt the most played pc games are that based on having maximum graphics. plenty of games with ok graphics have more thriving communties than games with maximum graphics.

Have you seen our best complain when a game does look better than maxed out Cyberpunk and runs at only 80FPS on a 4090?
