That game actually looks scary. Empty pool rooms with moody lighting and no one else around? Too scary for me.
Having beaten Unicorn Overlord finally, I'm kinda disappointed at how it lost its pace around act 2-3 and never gets it back. The game sort of plateaus mechanically - which wouldn't be bad really but the problem is the rest of the game is just barren.
The last section was so weak that it just throws you off. They'd probably have been better off just shortening the game honestly.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostThank you for this. Almost caved and bought it the other day.Its a great game, don't get me wrong.
Its one of those instances where you feel they nail damn near everything by the end of Act 1. - the momentum almost immediately evaporating by the end of Act 2 is actively jarring tho lol. Its like taking a nice car out then hitting 3rd and 4th gear only to realize you're making a lot of noise but not having sped up any.
Like they ace so much stuff that's plainly secondary in the second half. There's a whole online ranked battle thing with its own rewards, unique bosses, more dynamic terrain effects...
Then you get to the other areas and races and suddenly the new units aren't promotable? Okay. The great gear setups start to lean backwards towards stat dependencies? I guess its hard to balance past a certain point. The entire snow kingdom is plainly mid top to bottom? There's no longer anything else worth building on the main map? :/ k
I want to be clear its just disappointing that VW stops shooting for the high marks that it sets within its own milestone setting game. Maybe Triangle Strategy had it right by spreading the Ws out a bit better.
Gonna try Front Mission 2 later tonight probably
By Rob Go To PostTipping on video games lmaoI sometimes "tip" a dev by buying an OST or something when it's a great game.

I'm surprised we haven't seen an option for a cheaper version of games that bombards you with live adverts yet

Have you ever heard a match on the radio, where every 30 seconds there is a 5 second ad read by the game's commentator? It's like that, except it takes the focus away from the match to show a pre-rendered graphic over the empty pitch or it's a picture in picture thing where the game goes into a small window. Literally every 30 seconds for the full game.
Nobody beats Atlus at hustling their fans
You can't buy P3's Aigis DLC separately, you gotta pay 35 for a useless expansion pass lol 😭

Hold up. Does it count as tipping if I buy extra copies of games? If it does I’m fucked. I’ve tipped Bethesda for Skyrim at least 5 times, and I’ll likely do it again.
Siege too, bought it 3 times across platforms and bought it for at least two friends.
I feel dirty now.

By C4-621 Go To Post10% CPU 45%GPUI'm no expert, but it won't be worth the asking price, that's for sure.
Is that good ? Which one was the issue
Those look like solid gains to me, considering the price envelope Sony are working with. Beefing up the GPU is much simpler and cost effective than meaningfully upgrading the CPU, so no surprise there.
The issue, as it was with PS4 Pro, is going to be convincing developers to allocate extra time and resources and include features specific to this new hardware configuration. Most will stick to the bare minimum, same as they do with (non-Nvidia sponsored) PC versions for the most part.
My hope, if was interested in buying the Pro, would be that it's at least capable of running 'graphics mode' settings at 'performance mode' framerates. If it can't even do that, in all games, at all times, then, yeah, what am I even upgrading for.

Expect a boost in resolution/image clarity and slightly more stable frame rates in games that don’t currently offer stable performance.
Seems fine to me honestly. A bit unnecessary but I’ll wait it out to buy one since I’m still without a Bloodbornbox.
If the upgrade is decent and itll extend the console gen, I might bite.
If MS is hellbent on releasing another console in 2026, I'll Just upgrade my pc.

If they are moving to a 6nm process anyway, I don't think going to Zen 3+ would really cost much at all.

99% likely to be the case. They did the same with the PS4 Pro and Microsoft did it with the Series X.
Starting Front Mission 2 finally pray for me. May just end up installing P3Reload if this is unplayable
fm2 is brutal lmao
By Rob Go To PostIs there an option to disable cutscenes in Midnight Suns? These scenes are horrendously badskip em all. I think it's enter or space by default on PC
I’m skipping them but I just want them off by default. Just go straight from one fight to the next cuz everything else about the game sucks
There has to be a mod or something.

Finished Infamous First Light. Looked into the developer to see what they were doing and saw that they made Ghost of Tsushima which I played last year. I also saw that they made the Sly Cooper trilogy which I always meant to get around to so will probably play that to complete the studio's output (their first game was on the N64 so could play that on an emulator).
You'll like Sly Cooper. The three game collection on PS3 is really well done. Not cheap now days though. There's also a fourth game that was released around the time of the Vita. I've never played that one but would definitely give it a look too if you enjoy the other games.
For quite a few years, I had a bad habit of buying games and never/barely playing them. I’ve gotten better recently (helped with the fact that I don’t have much of an income). I have the trilogy on ps3 along with a lot of others I plan to get around to playing.
Edit: Just checked and I also have the fourth game on the psn store which was on ps3 & vita

Curious to see what this is. Always wanted to give Kingdom Come: Deliverance a try, never quite found the right time.
