I always assumed they were essentially stand-alone and it's just the touchstones like Vault-Tec, Nuka Cola and the Brotherhood of Steel that hold them together. Bit like Final Fantasy really.

Still legit gives me emotional flashbacks.
Playing through Phantom Liberty at the moment. First couple of hours were dog dirt but afterwards it has ramped back up in quality. Always been on the side of it being a banger game but after the patches and DLC it's got even better - although the vehicle combat is a bit shit and unnecessary imo.

Instead of a smoke dash you did a neon dash or a 'video' dash. You had a video peashooter equivalent, you had a video neon machine gun equivalent. It's not like it changed your playstyle hardly any at all. You still glided just with slightly different effects

eh, the powers had some interesting variations - but yeah, they mostly did the same things - shooting at tenemies and traversal.

Infamous 1 had the best story tho.
Second son suffered from being launch window game and didn't get to flesh out it's world. But biggest graphical leap for a sequel I've ever seen.
