By HottestGrapes Go To PostI have a friend who was extremely hyped for Andromeda and I still give him shit for it occasionally. He fell for Anthem too but hated it after playing it.Mass Effect my favorite series and I was hyped for Andromeda too
7 years later and I still haven’t played it.
I get it, I really liked Mass Effect. Played 1 & 2 multiple times. I played the demo for 3 and hated it though. When I played the full game (on the WiiU, lmao). I really hated whatever plot they were angling for with that kid. Lasted maybe 3 hours before I gave up on it.
Series has been dead to me ever since.

By Perfect Blue Go To PostWhere does one begin with the Monster Hunter series? There are basically 3 different variants that are somewhat popular right now:
- Rise
- World
- Generations Ultimate
Rise is the newest and features the most mobility.
World has the prettiest graphics and is the most cinematic.
Generations Ultimate is the closest to old-school.
By Hentai Samurai Go To Postworld is probably the friendliest to new playersi dunno, i think Rise is probably easier to learn how to fight in. they simplified things like Hunting Horn while also giving it greater flexibility.
but let dy tell u the truth
By Hentai Samurai Go To Postrise the switch one? only played the demo, wasn't really into itIt's on just about everything. Switch, PS4/5, XB1 and Series, Steam, etc.
The only one that is limited to Switch is Generations Ultimate. Well, Switch and 3DS.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostMilitary propaganda game talking about blunt rotation. How far we have come.
what kib said. world and rise are excellent
just know that with any monster hunter game the learning curve is steep at the beginning. its always worth it tho

Feel like Rise kinda came and went when it made it's way onto the non-Switch platforms, compared to World anyway
Thanks Vapes😭 I'm never dodging the weeb allegations I guess
Keep in mind that its not very welcoming lol. It's weird and it will antagonize and troll you every step of the way.
And its all fucking hilarious
If your fav part of Lord of the Rings is the journey to mount doom, then you will love it.

Finally had some time to actually accomplish nothing for a day and decided to drop a few hours into The Order again. It took me a little over five hours to beat the entire game from chapter 4 to the credits.
Great looking and sounding game. But what an incredibly bland cover shooter. The guns felt terrible to shoot and I was fighting the camera and sticky crouch cover mechanic nearly the entire time. The character you control couldn't walk any slower during the majority of the campaign.
The game is 15 chapters long, but about five of them are nothing more than a cutscene and you're on to the next one. You get to the end and then it's just over with a handful of loose ends still left unanswered. I'm assuming they planned to have a sequel because the ending was very abrupt and made little sense.

Sticky cover feels so much worse than doing it with a button press that l don't know why it's a thing.
I think the Last of Us 2 found a good middle ground. You never feel sucked into or unable to move out of the cover to move and the cam allows you a good amount of freedom.

Welcome back
The more outraged The Gamers are, the more likely the game is good. The blood shat out over DD2’s store item was a clear indication of quality.
Conversely, the hornier The Gamers are, the more likely the game will be bad.

Think DD2 is just a game for a subset of people. There's definitely people not liking what it is, and that's ok.
There was derision for DD2's mtx, which is overblown, but even the DD reddit has some people just being annoyed with how the game does some things.

Been pretty disappointed to read about the lack of enemy variety and the way they spawn in the same place every time. Those were the two things I disliked most about the first game, and presumably the easiest fixes without impeding on the director's vision.
If you're going to limit fast travel and have the player run the same route time and again, you have to do everything possible to keep it fresh, and it sounds like it might even be a step back from the first game in that aspect. Maybe the emergent stuff happens often enough and is surprising enough to make up for it.

Enemy variety wasnt really a problem for me in OG DD, so I dont want to comment on it, or other things until I get to play the game.
Hell, I'll probably appreciate it more after knowing the issues beforehand.

There is less enemy variety in DD2. Can't get around that. There's also the combat being less arcadey in some ways and more in others.
Its like persona 4 compared to 5 to me

By C4-621 Go To PostJust unlocked Ryu Hayabusa's combat stance in Ronin 😭 hi 😭would you recommend the game?
It's not so bad really, feels like a playground with Nioh-lite/Sekiro combat. I'll get back to you after I finish the 1st map though! I'm not sure how repetitive this will get
Collecting several combat styles for each weapon seems fun so far

DD2 hype seemed highly inflated to me, the first one had a really soft reception and while it has its fans it didn’t exactly leave a mark I thought. When the sequel was announced I was surprised, and when social media started hyping it up I was even more surprised and part of me wonders if the hype wasn’t all based on streamers hoping it would be one of those “highly streamable” games. The reviews also don’t seem to match the overall user reception, it’s getting really low scores from the common man… which also makes me wonder if the high scores from outlets come down to hype or there’s some overlooked technical flaws that the gamers don’t accept but reviewers don’t give a shit because they didn’t pay for the game.
its not for everyone
games that aren't for everyone are kinda great for the audience they're actually for
