By LFMartins86 Go To PostIf it was just a movie with Ana de Armas doing a monologue, I'd still watch it.
Ana de Armas kicking ass? Sure, I'll watch.
By LFMartins86 Go To PostNo idea what happened in this trailer but I'm in

Holy Spider was good. First half felt like a kind of run of the mill serial killer thing and I was very underwhelmed but the second half was good. And sad.
Luckily I take life advice from Dean and I simply stopped feeling sad. UNLUCKY, ALI ABBASI! You did not account for that. Bitch.

Watched Fast X. That was one of the stupidest movies I ever watched. The dialogue was trash but Mamoa is just having a blast all movie, dude was just doing his version of the Joker.

its crazy realistic
Movie is about the dangers of cheating on your spouse.
Pausing eXistenZ 10 minutes in to ask if Cronenberg made this for a low budget Canadian cable network?
The answer is most likely no. Unintentionally hilarious start and concept so far. I'll unpause an go back to watching now.

I remember enjoying Existenz when it came out. But it was sold long ago I don't think I'd revisit it and it would hold up.
If you want a real blast fromnty past. Check out CYPHER. Great bit of espionage.

Can't say that I liked eXistenZ. Doing a Google search, The Matrix came out 3/31/1999. eXistenZ came out 4/23/1999. Both have smiliar concepts with gettting in and out of the real world. Cronenberg is of course way more sexual about it and lets Jennifer Jason Leigh play up that aspect of it. And instead of body horror, it's must bug or creature horror like he did with The Fly way back when. The story here is pretty convoluted if you ask me and it's all to pay off the apparent end of the movie and the journey the characters are one. Some weird ADR stuff in this one and a scene in particular where Jude and Jennifer are supposed to be talking to each other on a bed and Jennifer has lines that are not coming out of her mouth at all.
Going back to the nearby release day with The Matrix leads me to this point about The Maxtrix Ressurection, which is from 2021 and probably forgotten by most people... That movie felt like it took all the cynicism in the post-script of eXistenZ and made a movie out of it. No need to re-litigate how Lana seemed over it and how that comes across in the actual movie, but the discussions at the end of eXistenZ felt like what Ressurection ended up being for it's entire runtime.

This trailer is hilarious.
And again, consider this was being marketed at the same time as the first Matrix.
The ending was great though. It's been about 20 years since I watched it but that's the only part I remember.
By s y brev Go To Postbetter movie than the matrix tooStop the cap.
idk, I remember liking it when it came on StarZ 15 years ago.
I can accept Dark City being better than The Matrix but Existenz? Not even Cronenberg would agree there.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostI can accept Dark City being better than The Matrix but Existenz? Not even Cronenberg would agree there.I can buy the argument for Dark City. Same with you about eXistenZ. David wouldn't lie on himself like that.

By LFMartins86 Go To PostSo this is told through the point of view of the entity haunting the family.Like that new Robert Zemeckis film.
