The first 30 mins of Trap are nothing but a vehicle for M Nights daughter to sing, every scene lingers on her music. I turned it off, every other scene is a music video for her
High Noon is an excellent Western. It's the version of Gary Cooper, Tony was always crying to Melfi about. Grace Kelly before her Hitchcock films too. It's an easy watch.

Hey that's not fair, there's some really terrible dialogue in between the music

I like it.
hell yeah
I remember we had that on during a night with friends over drinking and it was so actively bad that we all decided to just call it a night and go to bed early.
By Hixx Go To PostOnly thing that makes me a little worried is that it comes out in january.
I like it.
He claims that he was offered the lead in Men in Black. I know Ethan Hawke turned down the lead role in Independence Day.
Just reading Wikipedia for MiB, and apparently the studio and Spielberg first wanted Chris O'Donnell whereas the director wanted Smith
The studio and Spielberg preferred Chris O'Donnell for the role, fresh off his portrayal of Dick Grayson, whom he played in Batman Forever and Batman & Robin, and Spielberg told Sonnenfeld to take him to dinner to convince him to do it. However, Sonnenfeld got him to not accept the role by saying that he was not a good director and that the script was one O'Donnell should skipI don't think Spielberg would have been happy finding out what he had done.
By sohois Go To PostMen in Black would have been flop without Smith. Also who would have sung the theme tune.?David Schwimmer
By Laboured Go To PostDays has such a memorable (albeit horrible) look. Kinda happy they’ve done something a bit different
By bud Go To Postpassion of the christ 2 when?

Saw The Substance about an hour ago. Good flick. I'm not super familiar with idea of body horror as a genre, but this was certainly what I would call it.
Not a ton of dialogue by anyone despite the nearly 2.5 hour runtime. It's a lot of face and eye work from both Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley and they're both very good.
The pace of the entire film - at least the first two acts - is fast because there are so many quick cuts with a handycam. The music ties it all together too. It's just beats on beats. There are also a bunch of different lens thrown in. She really went all over the place mixing it up, but it really works in this version of Los Angeles to tell this, admittedly, not entirely original story of vanity and the pressures women in show business feel to remain relevant. The comparisons out of Cannes to All About Eve are pretty accurate which is a huge compliment because that picture is incredible for entirely different reasons.
Anyway, go see this in the theater if you can. It's got a real Under The Skin vibe about it.
Also, really good CGI on Qualley to have her body match Moore's...umm enhanced figure. I didn't realize at first that wasn't her body until it dawned on me that she's nude or partially dressed in practically everything I've ever seen her in.

Damien Leone confirmed that Terrifer 4 is in the works.
Not surprised, Terrifer 2 made 15M$ off a 250k budget and 3 is getting great reviews.
Still need to see 2, going to try and do the 31 days of horror in October, going to put it on the list with all the VHS movies and the Maniac Cop series.
Also looking forward to Nightmare On Elm Street's 4K release next month, especially if it's confirmed that it is the unrated version.

got about 10-15 mins left in The Thing. Pretty enjoyable, nice makeup/effects. Only thing that bothered me is the doctor going crazy in the beginning. Keith Davis being in this was a nice surprise.
I've got about 15 minutes left of I Saw The TV Glow. One of the worst films I can remember watching.
Edit: Finished. What a shitty film. Apparently it’s a trans allegory but so was The Matrix so that’s no excuse to make such a bad film. Trans people deserve better.

Saw Night Moves there on 35mm. Expected the Paedo Hunters to be in the lobby on the way out.
Hackman though, the ideal male body type.
Now eating a falafel before seeing the Substance.
