If you're such a big fan of Spanish tell us the 5 best Spanish words.
As far as the best Spanish words... I'd have to think for a while. One thing I can tell you tho, is that every word we have for tits is absolutely awful. Each more gross to say than the last:
Senos, tetas, pechos, mamas, chichis, busto, gomas, pechugas, globos, lolas, bolas... just disgusting.

Unsurprisingly, "chichis" is the only one in the list that isn't technically Spanish. In Spain, it actually means vagina of all things.
In MX, chichi is short for the náhuatl word chichiualli (breast). *Náhuatl being the common language of the Aztecs.

On a Fincher rewatch buzz right now. Revising my opinion on Zodiac drastically. I think it might be the best movie I've ever seen. Up there with Barry Lyndon now.
It's terrifying in a way I didn't appreciate when I watched it years ago.
RDJ and Ruffalo are fantastic.

Just finished watching Longlegs. I think it wants to be Silence of the Lambs but
Edit: Just looked up the director and it's the son of Anthony Perkins and an actress Berry Berenson who was in the plane that hit the north tower on 9/11.
Edit Edit: Anthony Perkins died of AIDS?

All of Oz’s movies are about coming to terms with his father hiding his sexuality

Great marketing though, respect. A film this bad did not deserve it.

Another great movie. Leto and Whitaker the stand outs.
Don't think it was great but I enjoyed it a lot more than I expected to. Man needs to get away from Netflix asap.
I've been watching the Beverly Hills Cop films in preparation for watching the latest one and I didn't know this about Gil Hill who played Inspector Todd, Axel's Boss
No wonder the dude was so convincing. It was the only acting role he ever had.
Hill joined the Wayne County Sheriff's Department in 1957, but quickly became disillusioned with the slow pace, so he joined the Detroit Police Department in 1959. In 1969 he was promoted to detective and was assigned to the homicide division the following year. Over the next decade, Hill rose to national attention for his ability to obtain confessions out of the most notorious killers. He was part of the law enforcement task force of over 100 agents in the investigation surrounding the Atlanta Child Murders in 1979.
Hill was promoted to the rank of Inspector in charge of the Homicide Division by 1982, and in 1989, retired from the Detroit Police Department at the rank of Commander.

Underwater was kind of awesome. Ridiculously well shot at times, it's visually fantastic and looks like a movie with double it's actual budget.
Strong performances from everyone but mainly Kristen Stewart.
Just a really good time, shame that it bombed, it deserves more love.

Liked Longlegs. Could've been great but it wasn't

The Crow didn't even reached 5M$ in it's opening weekend. Hell of a summer for Lionsgate with their two big summer movies battling for bomb of the summer.

also: alien 3 really isn't that bad. i'd say it's a fun b movie.
i've been watching all these films again lately with the exception of resurrection. thought about rewatching it, but i'm a bit burned out on the franchise now, and the synopsis combined with the picture below confirm to me that it's (probably) garbage.
alien: my only criticism on this is that the creature looks a bit dopey. very obviously a man in a suit. otherwise, very, very good. excellent atmosphere.
aliens: the lad cameron makes a sequel to a classic and does an excellent job as expected. great military porn in this as well; lad loves his exosuits. great climax. i agree with the criticism on the 4k version, however. watched it on disney+ and it just looks weirdly sharp and smooth which makes it look even more apparent that it's all sets.
prometheus: i'm surprised by how much i loved this. much better than i remembered. love the engineer angle. it goes to shit in the final act, though, where it turns into something very ordinary. excellent visuals all around. think it's the best-looking film in the franchise together with the first one.
covenant: was looking forward to this after the ending of the previous one, but... this turned into a neo v smith like fight of the two fassbender androids. dumbass film. fun ending, though, if very predictable.
The alien hybrid is one of the better things about Resurrection imo. The film just has a slightly odd vibe and the characters it introduces don't really work for me (it's Joss Whedon, folks!).
I like that scene a lot; the creepy humanoid alien, the on your face, slimy, incestuous vibes make it a really memorable scene in an otherwise confused movie. I enjoy Resurrection but mostly in an academic sense.
It's interesting, tracking the evolution of the franchise. The 4th installment is almost at the parody stage, right? having gone through sci-fi horror and action and everything else. Whedon writing was already a choice, and then picking someone like Jeunet to helm who is so at odds with the script make it a curious artifact.

Inside Out 2 was decent I thought. Been a while since I enjoyed a Pixar film tbh (due to woke).
Oddity wasn't great. Extremely predictable, took ages for the pay off to come and then it was poorly executed when it arrived.

what a time.
Movies from that time period are great, they aren't drowning in music in every scene. I don't think Alien had any music playing for the first 30 minutes in a scene
I watched both Prometheus and Covenant yesterday and ... I guess going in knowing they're flawed films allowed me enjoy both more than I thought I would on a second rewatch. Yes, even Covenant, if mostly for Fassbender's performance. Prometheus is a proper visual feast.
Watched a full 4k hdr blu-ray rip of both and it's crazy how much better the picture quality is compared to the streaming shite. Just pristine.

christ.
this is such a great scene, but… why did they have to ruin it by having the alien stick its hands out like that.
as if it’s reaching out for a hug.
Since we're talking Alien franchise, everybody raved about Linda Hamilton and the tough fit woman role in Terminator 2, but Vasquez was the OG and fathered her style.

I still blame her for handing out the 10×28mm Caseless rounds to Drake, but then I am a stickler for protocol.
I'm attributing their brave actions to the reactor being damaged and not the crash, please respect our fallen heroes taking out the hive.
Fancied something a bit different and decided on The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. Banger. Very pretty film too. Shame the sequels are not so well received.
