By n8 dogg Go To Postand ATJ is really good but it’s odd you’d say she’s great and imply Theron is bad when she’s just… doing a Theron impression.
i dont think it odd, that she just does the character a lot better.
anyway i know i am in the minority. i had to rewatch fury road after furiosa just be to sure. and i think furiosa is so clear.
By n8 dogg Go To PostDisagree thoroughly but to each his ownHow come you never say that when I give my film opinions?
By Laboured Go To PostShip it!love it when people promote any adaptation by being all "all that shit you like? gone!"
People thinking they can do it better than the source material usually goes very well
(but tbf its probably fine in that situation)

because you haven’t shared ur hole with me on whafsapp
By BrentMused Go To PostThe Harley Quinn that I know is annoying as shit tbf, and that's 99% due to the voice/accent comboBecause that's the way she was originally portraied. She was created for the Batman TAS, she wasn't on the comics before.
Imagining a world in which Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Praetorian Jack instead of this scrub and crying
By WoodenLung Go To Posti dont think it odd, that she just does the character a lot better.I think Furiosa was very forgettable, but ATJ did a great job.

Theron was pretty flat in Fury Road I thought, tbh I thought pretty much all the acting was quite flat outside of Hoult and the proper wasteland freaks.
anya and especially the kid who plays the younger version were great. later found out they digitally altered her face to make her look like anya.
hemsworth tries really hard, but he’s obviously not a great actor.

Furiosa better than Fury Road is such a wooden thing.
Watched a few films this week, none really vibed.
Lamb was ok but I can't believe neither the wife or the brother ever suspected the husband of fucking the sheep. Pretty underwhelming film tbh considering how strange the premise is and how eery the opening felt.
Priscilla was odd. I quite liked the first half of the film but man did it feel flat. It's not so much a biopic as a weirdly safe presentation of Elvis being an arse to her. You don't learn much about her at all, really. Yes, maybe the point of it, when you're attached to a person like Elvis you are always going to be in the shadows but... it doesn't make for a very interesting film. Also Cailee Spaeny is fucking tiny so any time she is stood next to Jacob Elordi it makes him look even more huge.
Frances Ha took some FORTITUDE to not turn off after twenty minutes. I ended up thinking it was alright but Frances was so fucking annoying... it felt a bit weird how few of the other characters seemed put off at all by her being SO QUIRKY OMG look at my QUIRKY SELF.

I liked him a lot more second time round when it clicked his character was supposed to be a pathetic try hard. Compare the Octoboss leaving him and him dying alone to Immortan Joe’s loyal lads. Gd stuff
Loved the movie on second watch. Knowing the vibe was super helpful. Stowaway action sequence is superb.
Two big drawbacks - the score isn’t a patch on Fury Road, and Burke is a non-entity with no presence in the role.
By DiPro Go To Postabsolutely loved Frances Ha.Same here. One of the best films of the 2010s.
By n8 dogg Go To Postwhat did he think was the previous best film he ever madeHe did pick Blade Runner in his letterboxed four films list.
was it gladiator
The pictures with Crowe are enjoyable from what I can remember. I really like Body of Lies with him and Leo.
The original Blade Runner is fun to look at but isn't a very good film.

It is gud. I just think quite a few people don't jive with it because they probably first saw it when they were young and it's certainly not the action sci-fi movie it initially appears to be.
Bladerunner is great. 2049 as well. About the same level for me.
Best scifi film for me is stalker though.
Brave and correct opinion: Solaris is better than 2001. But none of them are more than just good

This is getting a bit of buzz and I have to say, for a movie made for YouTube, it's quite good.
Definitely worth it you like found footage horror movies and it's not that long.
To the surprise of no one, The Crow is reviewing terribly and it's probably going to open lower than Borderlands.
Stop giving Rupert Sanders jobs, he is crap.

Ridley Scott will direct You Should Be Dancing, the biopic of the Bee Gees.https://filmstories.co.uk/news/bee-gees-biopic-now-called-you-should-be-dancing-ridley-scott-starts-filming-next-year/
The film is set to start shooting early in 2025, but the unknown here is whether Gladiator II will be at the level to warrant an Oscar run. The original film won the Best Picture Academy Award of course, although Ridley Scott was overlooked for the Best Director prize that year (his cupboard remains Oscar-less). Should Gladiator II get the recognition that’s expected, then Oscar campaigning will be taking up a fair amount of the bearded one’s time, and thus that’s going to potentially push back the start date on You Should Be Dancing.
By Freewheelin Go To PostI prefer 2049 but it sure is a good film
I used to massively prefer 2049. Now I think we are blessed with two great films.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostCool movie
By Zabojnik Go To PostWill watch tonight and there better be a monster with really long legs.
watched lunana: a yak in the classroom. truly a case of the ending almost ruining what was otherwise, a pretty beautiful film.
By n8 dogg Go To PostExcited to see Cruise in a non-action again. Shame it’s with Inarritu.
rate your inarritus, lad.
By bud Go To Postrate your inarritus, lad.
Amores Perros is the only one I’d say is good. Birdman is okay. Babel is 2/5 good and the rest bad. 21 Grams is meh. The Revenant is shit. Haven’t seen Biutiful or Bardo.
