Doom shows up to that Kang coliseum with the infinity gauntlet and uses it to show off his power/strength and not die like iron man did
Right from the start to show how Doom is basically a god and erase Kang(s)

Surprised that they already have some footage. Like the look of it, at least it's different from the usual Marvel stuff.
One thing that slightly annoys me about RDJ being back is if he is a Tony Stark variant that turns in to Doom, that's the second time in a short space of time where the meaningful and impactful death of a character suddenly counts for nothing because they found a way to bring the character back.

The book, directly adapted, just wouldn't really work. Too much stuff in there that wouldn't translate well to screen, the TV movie from the 90s demonstrated this even though it ofc had a small budget.
