Deadpool 3. No story ass movie with no heart or anything to say. Nostalgic wet blanket corporate riding off nerds that never moved on from escaping their lives by burying themselves in consumerism to fight back the tears.
Just an empty evil piece crap that devalues its entire medium

I just took a look at the release schedule. I don't think I'm going to the theater again until The Substance is out near the end of September.
Lawrence of Arabia is doing a limited release. I would like to see that on a big screen.

Deadpool went all in on the spectacle and did very little to engage you. Most of the jokes were rehashed from 1&2 and the preceding films had far better action scenes as well. There's only so much 4th wall breaking humour to mine from the series, but they kept fucken doing it.
It traded almost entirely on nostalgia. That's not always a bad thing, but the nostalgia buzz moved to complete fan service and just got worse from there. There's call backs and cameos from the awful Marvel movies that nobody liked and even cameos from popular actors who never got to make their superhero movie.
It's like the whole movie was a set up to create a meta narrative of "can you believe Disney let us make this?" The entire thing was a nod and a wink to the audience. Just left me empty.

It made Kojima tear up.
Impressions here align with I thought the movie would be based on the trailers. A movie full of jokes and cameos but very light on terms of story.
But no one is going to care because it's going to make a fuck ton of money, 1B$ minimum.
truly the words of a man who made death stranding. clearly had his brain replaced with a grilled charlie instantly after the release of mgs3.
thank god he wasnt allowed to make a silent hill game.

By Zabojnik Go To PostIt would've probably been the best Silent Hill game to date.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostLmao why is there a mech movie with JLO
The verticals.

She had an assassin movie too, who is watching these movies, who is checking for and is a fan of JLO????

saw longlegs. thought monroe was good, and cage was spooky.
like with most horror films, however, i thought the twist/last act was a bit disappointing.
decent watch, though. had fun with it.

By JesalR Go To PostFinally got round to Godzilla minus one. What an utterly fantastic filmProbably the only movie I’ve seen since my daughter was born and it was a great choice
making doctor doom a tony stark variant is only something a company with no imagination could pull off
A 3rd or 4th Quiet Place is still more imaginative than bringing back RDJ for your underwhelming cinematic universe
By Rob Go To Postmaking doctor doom a tony stark variant is only something a company with no imagination could pull offSo he's still Tony Stark? That's at least something.
By KimoSan Go To PostSo he's still Tony Stark? That's at least something.Oh idk, I’m just guessing.
They could have chosen plenty of other people. I’m not sure if the variant reason is worse, or if they thought post-Infinity War being completely forgettable movies is because they don’t have Tony Stark
By n8 dogg Go To PostThat’s so funny lmaoprobably.
Wonder how they pivot out of the Kang stuff. Just completely ignore it?
By domino Go To PostHa, that's actually kinda dope.

I see the boo boys didn't skip a beat.
What's this guy's deal anyway? Some sort of galactic evil mastermind, despite a name that would suggest otherwise?
Also, couldn't it be just a ruse or some sort?
EDIT: Apparently he's just a random Trump from a random country, how disappointing.

The Russo's are back directing as well. This is one of the biggest 'break in case of emergency' scenarios you'll ever see.
They'll they a huge day one figure at the box office and ride that momentum for a while. Won't matter if the film is as bad as their other recent superhero releases.

He's the smartest guy in the whole universe and a powerful sorcerer.
By domino Go To Postcould have been Gus ☹️

Surprised that they already have some footage. Like the look of it, at least it's different from the usual Marvel stuff.
One thing that slightly annoys me about RDJ being back is if he is a Tony Stark variant that turns in to Doom, that's the second time in a short space of time where the meaningful and impactful death of a character suddenly counts for nothing because they found a way to bring the character back.
