William Hurt used to play his character but he died.
God that show really sucked. I just think Falcon is a personality vacuum and while I think Mackie is ok in some things he just absolutely phones it in whenever he plays this character.
By LFMartins86 Go To Postlooks decent.
Surprised that they showed that scene at the end.
spotted a bit of Red hulk
Just settling in for Longleg's. There are a surprising amount of people here for a lunchtime opening. Don't love that.
Didn't realize there's a new Alien movie with teens in space. Could be fun.
By Laboured Go To PostTell them to leave.Too many of them at this point. It's nearly full. Like 50 people. I'm in hell.

Cherry-pick framing and film-making composition at your own risk to push whatever agenda you have.

New Cap looks awful. One day we will remember what good filmmaking is and be done with this nonsense

But you dont want this film to be good tho
A good movie is a good movie but that's like trying to explain why water is good for drinking and not waterboarding oneself
So Longleg's. That was a good, sick twisted little film. Very slow burn for the first hour. The last 30 minutes move along at a good pace though and bring it all together. Expected some jump scares or actual horror but there was none. Zero. Not something I would want to sit through again; however, it's definitely worth seeing.
Did not know Alicia Witt was in this as the mother. Made me feel old.

Sean Baker's next movie looks like it's going to be another good one. October release.

Huh. Some other impressions of the film suggest it is riddled with jumpscares. Was gonna go see it today but left it too late to get seats together; I did not expect it to be so popular.
The audience was silent through the entire thing, which is not a complaint from me, but more so indicative to the type of picture it is. I would hesitate to even call it a horror film.
It's also not remotely close, in any way outside of dealing with an FBI agent, to Silence of the Lambs. The pacing is much, much slower before things are explained in the third act.

Alex Baldwin's case his been dismissed due to the prosecution withholding evidence that could have been of use to the defence.
Was lightly following this one and it's pretty evident that the prosecution were fishing for a high profile conviction but had almost nothing to pin on him.

I think my favorite type of monster is the one where they're just assholes. Like the killer clowns or Reagan or the martians in mars attacks

By Laboured Go To PostOnly 10 minutes into Mars Express and this is already The Good Shit.Let me know how you liked it. Great start, solid middle, weak finish.
Yeah I pretty much enjoyed nearly all of that. Some rushed or incoherent stuff at the end.
One thing I wasn't expecting was to like the characters as much as I did. World building and attention to detail was uniformly great, as was the animation overall.
Main criticism is it never really stops to stew over the main dramatic beats in the story.

Seen multiple people mentioning 1997's Cure when talking about Longlegs so decided to check it out.
That was very good. Terrific sound design.
