By reilo Go To PostMost 90s films had that yellow filter.
Color theory how does it work
I recall Falling Down and Made in America come to mind.
By Punished Go To PostAdditional Hard Target thought: I can't believe how much JCVD looks like his brother Rob!
Watched this tonight based on this tweet.
Sensational film. Sensational.
Finally got round to watching Late Night with the Devil and enjoyed it quite a bit, particularly David Dastmalchian’s performance. Excellent sense of place too, felt like I time travelled back to the 70s

Was just named the second best Korean film of all time.

Ranked best by people in the Korean film industry.
Anyone rented a film on YouTube before?
Watched Three Billboards last night, pretty sure it was 1080p at least but the player options only went up to 480p.

Yes, I have.
Bad Boys with a 56M$ opening weekend domestically (final numbers might even better as the walk in numbers are strong), over 100M$ when adding the international numbers.
Sony have to be happy with that and with the decision to have Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah direct the next Spider Man
That BTS video of the first person scene that went viral makes me think they could have the creativity to pull out some crazy scenes.

Yeah I thought it was fucking shite. Like nothing about it landed at all even from a light-hearted action rom-com perspective.
Two and Half Big Bang How I Met Your Broke Girls were some of the most popular shows over the last two decades. People have shit taste, Sy.
Will and Martin understand how things work, nobody wants to see a Bad Boys Saga movie without them which should be obvious. Just like the masses don't want a mad max movie without mad max.
Why is anyone surprised furiosa bombed
Fury road didn’t make shitloads and it was heralded as a GOAT movie from day one. Trailers are weird. Didn’t have Will Smith. Doesn’t have the same brand recognition as some other stuff. Furiosa then dropped Mad Max from it, put its most recognisable star in a horrifying beard and nose combo, and cranked up the weird in the trailer.

It's surprising Bad Boys still got that much because the last one was shite but hey..
Furiosa was good not great on first viewing.
Might need to watch it again in IMax.

By n8 dogg Go To PostWhy is anyone surprised furiosa bombedI'd love to see the statistics on prequels vs sequels, but i'd guess that prequels usually do a decent bit worse in general.

Feels like Fury Road was carried massively by word of mouth, none of my friends had a fucking clue what Mad Max was when FR came out and had 0 interest until I said they had to go and see it. Furiosa just isn't as good, and obviously isn't as fresh. No one seems to be very passionate about the movie itself, more passionate about the fact these types of movies don't come around very often.
i'm not surprised Furiosa bombed but i expected it to do decently.
Dune 1 did just okay and then Dune 2 exploded.
i expected at least to not lose money from the good WoM that Fury Road has collected over the years.
anyway i'm glad that it got made, it was very good. i didn't need another MadMax after Fury Road and i don't need another now. I'm fine if things just go away. Much better than getting Alien'd.

please keep this hack out of the movie thread. this is a good thread about a good medium not like the video game thread.
By DiPro Go To PostWent to a third furiosa screening because why not.Rookie numbers.
I did my job, you can't blame me
I absolutely love the direction and editing of Bad Boys: Ride or Die. Had a fantastic time watching that.

It is almost as bad as the 'just have fun' posts about marvel and other trash
Looks good. Was concerned about no Paul King (and forgot Hawkins was gone too) but has the same vibe as the first two from the trailer. Colman looks great.
