No release date, no distributor attached. They showed a unfinished cut to possible buyers on Cannes.
I really liked The First Omen. It's way better than a Omen prequel should be.
It feels like a 70/80's European horror movie at times by the way it's filmed. There are very little to no jump scares, it's creepy and it has some of the most disgusting birthing scenes.

Just saw clip randomly of the end game scene with everyone arriving. T'Challa coming through the portal gets me teary man. Purely from a consumer entertainment POV think it maybe greatest mokent in cinema.

My wife is in social care and eveytime she tells me about a case i wanna adopt the kid
Godzilla Minus One was alright. The monster parts were good, I couldn't quite connect with the human side of it.
I don't know what it is, every time I see a japanese actor over-emoting it takes me out of it, especially in a drama. Get a grip, this isn't theater m8.

It's not even big emotional scenes, it's often minor stuff like a guy saying something unexpected and the other person reacting with a comical quick turn, shocked face and a loud "eeeehh?!" In a dead serious situation. Even taking into account the obvious cultural differences, it's just clownish.
Knew it wasn’t for me after the opening scene and regretfully stayed around for a good 40 minutes before calling it quits.
It is, which is quite funny since all the posters they put out so far have been horrifically bad, and that's coming from someone who doesn't generally care about film posters.
By diehard Go To PostHow long before "no AI art" is the new "no CGI, it's all practical"?Same time all copyright laws cease to exist

Same wankers be using self checkout lines too
Even in a post-Madame Web / Morbius world, still think there's a good case to be made that the Venom films are outright the worst comic book movies going.

There are like half a dozen jump scares lol. And they are all extremely weak - I am a pathetic manbaby when it comes to horror but not a single one of them got me.
It's a very average film. I appreciated how much they showed on screen rather than having to imagine through SHOCKED FACES but it's just a decent film. Slow burn and the first 40/45 mins feel like way too much of an homage to old European horror (especially Suspiria) rather than focusing on its own thing.

They're better than like 3/4 of the MCU movies

Not even comparable.
I watched that Pinball movie with Mike Faist last night, surprisingly good. However that’s the worst fake moustache I’ve ever seen.
By RAThasReturned Go To PostNever saw Carnage. Seems like they're trying to get back to the first Venom. It was a pretty solid film. Roman Polanski is a good director.
By reilo Go To PostThe once host of TRS, frequent guest on The Filmcast, the very same.
THE Dan Trachtenberg?
