I loved Powell in Top Gun.
Watched the first two Mad Max films for the first time. Mad Max 2.5/5. Road Warrior 4.5/5

Fury Road was just a remake of Road Warrior

Better, more polished remake with much better acting and a lot more heart.
First MM was just a bit dull. Good first fifteen, good last fifteen. Didn’t like anything in between.

Genuinely, I can't wait for the n8/dean Letterboxd review

Challengers was a whole lot of fun and the ending was really well written and delivered, good shit. Still don’t get the infatuation the audience seems to have with Zendaya though, and there’s this disconnect between what the character is supposed to be and what I’m looking at. She’s a decent actress.

It's fucking Abbasi making that film? 💀
Hope you get to see Trumps cock in it, and it's similar to the cock he showed in Border

By RAThasReturned Go To PostThe trailer for Longlegs is too long.More like Longtrailer LOL
But yeah, the marketing has been so good because they've shown so little. It still looks good, but less is more. And knowing Cage is the killer...I mean...that can go wrong (tonally) easily

By Hixx Go To PostI went on an ape spree.I did the same and thought war was the worst one.
Rise of the Planet of the Apes was surprisingly decent. Dawn was… I really liked it visually and Koba was extremely entertaining but the rest of it didn't match up. War was the best of the three, very slightly.
By Dazenheimer Go To Postthats gotta be a record. It's the 3rd Universal movie in a row that has taken 17 days to arrive on digital platforms. Monkey Man and Abigail both had the same period of time. I thought Fall Guy was a different theater which is why I didn't make the initial connection.

Watched Kong x Godzilla and the amount of exposition was comical. I see that it made a ton of money so there will be another

Bro WTF. I watched that trailer and thought it looked like the aesthetic of Revenge (a top 3 movie in 2018 for me) and then I checked who the director of The Substance is and it's Coralie Fargeat who directed Revenge!!!!!!!!!
Hype through the roof now.
Watched Iron Claw last night. It was fine. Some weird time jumps that I didn't think they made very clear and I don't understand why they completely erased one of the sons that also killed himself. I mean, maybe his story just wasn't as compelling, but he's one of six boys in a family where literally five of them are dead and three from suicide. To just not include him seems odd.
Also, Zach Efron is absurdly juiced up in this. Like he is enormous.

I think the director said it was too punishing for the audience or something lol
Pixar hasn't had a golden run in forever.
their run from 1995-2004 is the stuff of legend.
not that this justified.

Despite being two hours long the movie moves at a decent clip. But at no point did I feel like they gave any one of the brothers - besides Kevin - any real time to grow.
Kerry had a whole ass family with a wife and kids when he died and they're not shown or mentioned at all. It's just Olympic dream dies; wrestling; beat Flair for the title; lose foot; die in like 30 minutes.
It was a perfect flick to stream while laying in bed. I'm glad I didn't sit in a theater for it though.
