Seems like Wes didn't drop the Ball and Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes is a great addiction to the franchise.
Rise one of the biggest surprises in years for me. Loved it. Really like the other two as well.
Although all the titles are wrong
Rise should be Dawn
Dawn should be War
War should be Rise

I'm not sure the director of The Maze Runner franchise gets that much credit for me.
I do hope it's good though, it's a very solid trilogy with one great entry (Dawn)
Not sure why the trilogy didn't really hit with me, but it's probably because I'm racist against monkeys / apes.
i get it, they're just humans but worse and freaky. bit embarrassing for us that we're related.
still liked the trilogy very much.

The Monkey Man was fun and Dave Patel is a bit of a surprise in the role, however I didn’t care for the spirit of vengeance mythological comic book super hero leanings of the script. The action has its moments with some nice visual flair here and there, the music also, but I wasn’t big on the actual framing and choreography which probably were set back by budget and time constraints.
Anyway Dave Patel fuck yah good for you sir

it isn't just a chess movie it's about the Carlson scandal where he accused Niemann to shove a cheating device up his ass.

Wes Ball is one of the most sought-after new directors, there's a reason why he was given the Zelda job.

By DiPro Go To Posthe made 3 bad maze runner movies and that's it. why is he sought-after?About the Maze Runner movies, what studios will remember is they were financial hits.
He was working on Mouse Guard movie for Fox that was cancelled due to the merger with Disney, test footage was released after.
Fox must have liked what they saw because they gave him the Apes job, which has been rumoured to be in the good shape for a while.
That has led to Ball being linked with a few big IPs until he got the Legend Of Zelda movie, something that he has dreamed and been tweeting about for more than a decade.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostOne of the all time greatest ^
By WoodenLung Go To PostBeen meaning to for some time. I will do it soon too, inshallah.
it's a beautiful and delicate masterpiece, lads. it's about... life. damn.
the scenes with ota in particular were madly impressive.
aesthetically incredible as well.
spoiler: i'm glad the kid didn't actually drown
By Shanks D Zoro Go To PostFor those of you who are watching Minus One for the first time, I hope you have tissues ready. To masturbate or dry our tears or both
Got the 4k theatrical widescreen release and 1080p home full screen release versions of Transformers (1986) ripped to Plex, including all the special features of both. I can’t stop pausing the 4k version on random frames to gawk at the art.
I won’t ever say this is an unequivocally “good” movie but it is one of my favorites. Such a great sound track, art, and randomly awesome voice actors (Leonard Nemoy and Orson Wells play the two biggest villains!).

I don't even remember a scene in minus one that was remotely close to getting emotions out of me. Decent film though
Watched Delicatessen tonight and absolutely loved it. Slept on this way too long.

By FortuneFaded Go To PostWes Ball made a perfect trilogy.
Who asked for this?
According to sources, the reboot is not a redo of the story nor is it a direct sequel to the original trilogy, which starred Dylan O’Brien and Kaya Scodelario. The hope is to make a sort of continuation of the story yet also return to the elements that made the first movie connect with its audience. (The original movie, made by 20th Century Fox in the years leading up to its acquisition by Disney, also proved to be an unexpected moneymaker, generating $348 million worldwide but costing only $35 million to make.)
By FortuneFaded Go To PostAll signs point to it being dogshit.
Wonder if this will get Jerry cancelled by the woke mob. Dropped on Netflix today.

Godzilla Minus One was fucking great. I still can't believe someone made a Godzilla movie this good and that the humans are actually the best part of it.
Toho, stop being shitheads and release the UHD on the West.
They are apparently pissed off because GMO is already the most pirated movie of 2024.

Godzilla is thicc
Civil War was really good and watching it in an empty theater made it even better. Cailee Spaeny would’ve been a perfect Ellie.
Godzilla Minus One was pretty good like.
Not quite sure if I prefer it to Pacific Rim in terms of being the best of the big monster films but it's easily the best film I've seen that has Godzilla in it. Not that the bar for the ones I'd seen was particularly high.

By Freewheelin Go To PostPacific Rim was crap, dunno why people love that filmAgreed lol. For a film about giant robots and monsters fighting, there isn’t enough of it + what is there you can barely see shit.
pacific rim was cool on that 1 fight we actually see, waste of a movie otherwise
godzilla minus one is incredible in every level, may be the best godzilla film even topping 1954

transformers > pacific rim
it's not even close.
also saw challengers. will echo what the lads in this thread have said about it: it's fun. electrifying. great score as well. that churros scene is one of the highlights.
i'm not hugely attracted to zendaya, but at one point she's on all fours and... it looks good.
