PEDs - How would you punish usage in various sports?
- Page 1 of 1
Always find this to be an interesting debate, could get some good discussion going with the forum split between 2 similar yet seperate sporting cultures
Personally, I think life bans should be standard across the board for PED users when there is no reasonable doubt
Thoughts? Feel free to talk about the issue at large as well :)

Wouldn't be opposed to PED use to help injured players recover faster, but playing on PEDs should be off limits just for there to be a clear line.
Various sporting associations can put limits or timetables on what constitutes 'recovering' and 'injured' and how long they have to sit thereafter to deem them PED free for play.

I wouldn't give a lifelong ban for a first offence but I certainly would for a second offence.
PED use offends me quite frankly. I've become very disillusioned with cycling for instance. I think people will always be tempted by them in a sport like that, so demanding on the body.

Allow em. We can't catch em well enough to get even think about effectively stopping cheating. 50 game bans in baseball aren't deterrents. And then we have joke leagues like the NFL that find less PED use than baseball but hammer PSI levels in balls.
Encourage it.
I'm watching sports for entertainment. Athletes take a beating and risk injury every time they play. Why should drugs that allow quicker healing and increased entertainment be banned? doesn't make any sense.
not like everybody isn't already using them.

let them all use it
easier than banning the cheats, level the playing field.
in safe amounts of course

Only because I was out of commission.
