it’s ridiculous how much this has improved
since the will smith spaghetti video—and that was released less than a year ago.
this is going to be indistinguishable from real life by the end of the year.
it’s all over.

Been tinkering about with generative AI images and videos, and there's still a lot of flaws. Looks like it uses a shitload of processing power as well.
That's not even going if it can hit with retail; and that's where the money is. Would be a huge help for enterprise and some SFX houses having their own custom use for sure, but this AI bubble we are having atm will burst pretty soon.

By Flutter Go To PostThe problem is if it's performant when it works with higher res.A lot of the AI tools available to the public are being heavily subsidized right now to build a market for them. Prices for the processing time will likely go up substantially if AI continues to be a thing like how it is being pushed.

I don’t think there is.
That’s not saying generative AI won’t be important in the future, just that when you see a company like Microsoft trying to push it during the Super Bowl with “Write a code to create my open world game” you know the corps are trying to push it too fast and too stupid.
I’m happily using it to make my work easier, but I’m really not keen on this AI hype bubble they’ve been building for the past year.

Here's a fun AI story: a security researcher noticed that large companies' AI-authored source-code repeatedly referenced a nonexistent library (an AI "hallucination"), so he created a (defanged) malicious library with that name and uploaded it, and thousands of developers automatically downloaded and incorporated it as they compiled the code:
