By The Frankman Go To PostWe talking Cavs win or Cavs loss?doesnt matter
lebron can't even step off the court without his team entering the early stages of blownthefuckout. the leading mvp candidate on the other team is a guy who's job is to limit and contain his triple doubles lol
By DY_nasty Go To PostAD better get real comfortable with that 3pt line
Curry thinks AD can be a 40% 3-pt shooter. Scary.
By linsivvi Go To PostSo you're calling Jerry West a loser?
By proxy yes. He won it once. I don't think Lebron should get it this year, unless he pulls it off in game 7 in Oakland.
By DY_nasty Go To Postdoesnt matterOh come on, you know this matters. Especially when on the opposite team is the new NBA darling. Very rarely does anyone care when you're on the losing end unless you're putting up historic numbers...

*waits patiently for people to step through the open door*
By reilo Go To PostI have a hard time accepting anyone shooting < 40FG% as GOAT anything.yeah but then you see 40pt triple doubles and add in the fact that the MVP was straight shit in two games as well as the fact that the next leading candidate for MVP is a guy who's only job is to stop LBJ
if jerry west can win a FMVP on a losing squad, then LBJ should here
Unless Curry goes ham in game 6 Iggy should get fmvp. Curry has disappeared for large stretches of this series, iggy has been their best player in both sides of the court.
I just don't like the narrative, Cavs turned the series into fugly ass shitshow and live and die with it.. godlike number shouldn't matter with how cavs shaping their game.

yea
i think it'd be a cool thing for lebron to get that honor--i aint never seen no shit like this before, a team literally dropping to double digits within moments of a guy hitting the bench
By jWILL253 Go To PostLebron has such bad luck in a Cavs jersey, man.still doing good considering who he has to work with. there are multiple chances in the upcoming years and most likely one title is brought to Cleveland.
Cleveland just can't win.
At least LeBron not shitting on TT on that offensive rebounding question. Thompson's eyes got real big though.
NEVAR FORGET

Lebron's earned respect. But that doesn't mean he's free from criticism.
He's been a monster this series, but when it's all said and done, if he loses. 2-6 in addition to the Leastern Conference is not a good look.
In any given year you had only two real teams to beat, and usually the most talent, and still didn't get it done.
No one really holds 91 against Magic. But 5-4 is still worse than 6-3.

By psychintellect Go To Postok nevermind, this one's cool in my book.
LeBron is doing everything he can to keep the Cavs competitive in a series no one gave them a chance in. If game 6 is close and he drops another 40/10/10 it's going to look silly giving it to anyone else. The Warriors will have a ring, I don't any of them will lose sleep over winning as a team.
Still don't like the Mozgov benching. Cavs can't win playing the Warriors way, they don't have the horses unless JR and Shumpert combine for 45.

I admit when I got internet back I went to see what the LeDong James thing was about
and after I saw it I asked myself "why..."

Just read on ESPN that Curry's 7 contested three point makes were the most by any player this postseason. Normally you'd be happy forcing a guy to take 7 contested threes. By all normal standards, the Cavs have guarded him well.
Add me to the group that has not yet had a chance to see LeDong, nor do I want to.

Why? He's about to be the highest paid basketball player by a wide margin. He's on a team good enough to tear through a conference missing his 2 best teammates, and he's going to have several more cracks at this thing with at least a few presumably healthier post season runs.
And unlike previous seasons, this loss (if it happens) can't be blamed on him.
His scale ranges from "this is the greatest and most improbable championship run maybe ever" to "he's playing amazing and probably deserves finals MVP even if they lose"
That's a damn good scale to be living in
Lebron get it nice, no reasonable excuse for blaming him, and he will get another try with easy path to finals again next year
fuck pitying him

By psychintellect Go To PostLeBron and KD are gonna get the same contract. Unless you meant including endorsements and stuff.
NBA contracts always pay more for greater years in the league. That's why Kobe was making 30 million two years ago and Joe Johnson was making 20. They both got that max.
No one who's been in the league as long as Lebron is getting the contract he's about to get.

I believe you can sign for 105% of the money you made the previous year. KD won't make less than Lebron assuming current estimates and that Lebron opts out. Well about the same the first year anyway.

You don't really think the CBA won't be renegotiated right? Lebron will be easily the highest paid player after next summer. Cleveland will pay him anything to stop him from leaving and he'll be at the forefront of negotiating super max deals.
Sorry for the confusion. I said "about to be" as in, after his current deal is up and he gets the renegotiated CBA supermax for a 12+ year veteran. He's locked in to his 15-16 contract though.
