Oakland and Berkeley gonna party and have our own street fairs thank you very much.
lol at those false promises. Fuck off Joe Lacob.
By SamuraiX- Go To PostCavs in 6.
Kyrie gonna show up to the battlefield like fucking Goku after being revitalized in the healing chamber after being body snatched by Ginyu.
Aint not a single dude on Golden State's roster that wont get their soul snatched by him.
Cavs can play the same up tempo offense as Ws and their small ball can match up just as well.
Key is that I believe Curry is stoppable while LeBron is unstoppable.
You do realize the Cavs were a fucking slow ass team, right? 25th in pace. They're dead last in the playoffs (they've slowed down even more!). My guess is without Love, they've become slower as a result.
If there's one thing the Cavs don't ever do is play fast.
It's an interesting matchup, actually. We're basically looking at the fastest team versus the slowest team in the league in the Finals. If the game is fast, the Cavs will be completely out of their element.
It's fine to argue the Cavs can play small, but fast? There's absolutely no evidence of this.

Seriously? What were the Warriors before Lacob? I'll tell you. Insignificant. For 40 years.
Fuck Charles Barkley and his predictions. Ringless mofo. (other than his Warrior hate, LOVE Charles)
He's been trying to "prove" a 3 point shooting team can't win a ring this entire playoffs.

No, all those moves and deals were a result of Bob Myers and a great front office. Sure they were paid for by a dude who thinks you can win anything with money but he didn't pull the work to draft these guys and make these deals.
The credit for that work goes to them, not the owner. I hate the move to SF, his comments, and his overall attitude as an owner.

The Warriors had a shit owner before, and an average management team at best prior to Lacob buying the team. Every decision made gets run by him. From firing Mark Jackson, to not wanting to include Klay Thompson in a Kevin Love trade. Myers ain't doing shit without getting the OK from Lacob. Hell, I'd bet $$$ Justin Holiday is on the team because Lacob liked him in summer league. It also wouldn't surprise me that Myers is the reason the Warriors gave away $$$ to B. Rush to sit on the bench. I mean...a team full of good wing defenders signs BOTH Brandon Rush and Justin Holiday as backups?
Want to see how much influence poor ownership can have on a franchise? Look down south.
Lacob has yet to show me something that says he's a bad owner. Hell, he hired his golfing "friend" as the head coach of his team.
Lacob knew what he wanted and got it done.
Hating on him is like hating on fans that didn't care about the Warriors prior to his purchasing the team. Misguided.
I didn't say he was a bad owner, I said I dislike him because of his attitude and his agenda. Dude legitimately thinks he can win and solve any problem with money. The move from San Francisco is a slap to the face to fans who live in the area. I don't see it as anything other than a gentrification move. When you compare it to the 49ers move from SF to Santa Clara, you see how much of a negative impact it can cause through traffic, inflated ticket prices, and overall lack of stimulation to Santa Clara's economy so far. Moving to San Francisco makes it much more difficult for members in the Bay to even get to a game.
After Keith Smart and Mark Jackson, they got lucky with Kerr. I'm not a MJax fan but he changed our culture and laid out a defensive backbone for our current coaches to work off of. Lacob's comments towards Jackson were unprofessional as an owner, regardless of how his decisions have turned out, they created quite a bit of turmoil within the team and the franchise itself.
I'm happy we don't have Dolan as an owner and we're winning now, but as a fan we can't help but stay skeptical and dislike some of the changes.
What if we don't chip. What if we can't sustain this excellence after Gentry leaves? Will it work out in the future? Dude already has a ring, maybe 2 will he continue to be take an active role?
There are a lot of what ifs and as a fan, especially after dealing with all the loses and getting a glimmer of hope the past 3 years, it is difficult to go through that again.

Know of more than a couple people who were already looking for an excuse to stop watching football and basically washed their hands of the niners because of that move.
Most of my frustration comes from the future move to San Francisco. What if we become mediocre after the move and it becomes the same situation?
The irony is Oakland saved the Warriors from the financial hole in they were in playing in SF. Now they can't wait to get back there. Such a slap in the face.

By lovingsteam Go To PostHow much influence has/does Jerry West have on the Warriors the last 5-6 years?
He worked out with Harrison Barnes, resparked his confidence, and made him back into the amazing player he is supposed to be.
By Omega Go To PostEither way Charles is screwed, aren't these 2 of the top 3 shooting teams?
whoever wins, he loses
depends how you define it. In % terms, Cleveland is 5th in the playoffs but 2nd in attempts. Exact same during the season on both accounts. Warriors 4th and 1st, respectively during the season (2nd and 1st in the playoffs). Washington #1 in % is amazing. Should note that Love's 17/41 vs Boston from 3 raises their percentages. Also should be noted that Ws were really 7th in 3pt rate (attempts inflated by #1 pace. Cleveland, being 25th in pace, shot more often per possession).
Cleveland shoots the 3 a lot. But without Love, they're slightly above league average at shooting them. The Warriors shoot the 3 quite often and are very efficient.
36% of the Warriors and Cavs shots this postseason have been threes. Easily the highest marks of this postseason and two of the highest marks in playoff history.

Warriors in 5 , 6 if they are shook and lose 2 in Cleveland
they bounce back and win game 6 in Cleveland, at least Cavs fans will see the NBA title 2 times in the past 10 years

GSW are better at scoring against a set defense than opponents are at scoring against them in a non-set defense. INSANE.
This tell me, the Cavs have to force live ball turnovers and not do any themselves. If they don't accomplish this, they'll get run off the court.

nice to see the fam back here, been dry here for a week. warriors in 6 but i can see cavs win the series because GS has been suspect here and there losing leads.

Well, yeah. But that's also true for a huge chunk of the playoff teams. Atlanta and Houston are even higher, I believe.
edit: apparently they're just below. It's pretty close. I'd imagine all 4 are in the top 10. At least for teams playing 2 series.
edit: FWIW, Cleveland's rate has slightly moved up from the season but the Warriors have jumped quite a bit. My guess is the starters playing more minutes is the cause of this one.
Anyway, time to race home to see the game.
