The revisionism around ETH. He was one of the most sought after coaches in Europe.

By Cleff Go To PostI think Ten Hag is gone. May not happen in the next few weeks/months, but once things get this dire there's no manager can turn it around.
We're genuinely finished as a footballing club. We've tried the club legend, the win at all costs managers and now the tactician/ideologue. None of them have worked and most have followed the same pattern of success with a subsequent failure to build on that promise.
The ultimate fault lies with the Glazer's. But they don't give a fuck and will keep cycling though managers and creaming off United's profits.
We almost went three months without a win tbf
By inky Go To Postyou say that about anywhere but EnglandAnd I'm right to.
Except for Mason Mount. He's shit.

By Dazenheimer Go To PostArteta first 3 seasons finishes. It helped that you could see that Arteta was moving us in the right direction, getting rid of the crap, starting to get us playing good football. Don't see ETH doing any of that really, you still have plenty of players that aren't good enough or couldn't give a fuck (and he's somehow managed to bring in more) and the football you play is dire.

Couldn't get rid of Mctom or Maguire or DVB etc.
Also a recruitment process that allows for the right players to come in. Arteta's whole squad is his.
ETH still has moyes players, van gaal players, mourinho players and Ole players.
That's a homonculi of a team.
Also, there's a really bad mental state and a rot within the whole club.
Philip Anthony Jones was still part of our squad last season. He made 13 appearances in all competitions for United from 2019-2023.
Any other club with title winning ambitions would have sold him in 2018 when it was clear that injuries had ruined him. Instead we have him a new contract.

eth a higher win percentage in his career than jurgen klopp, jose mourinho and alex ferguson

Time's up Martins, please and thank you.
Can't even remember the last time Madrid sign a player in the winter transfer window, let alone spent 60+ millions.
By Koko Go To PostWould be fucking horrible as we are already going to be without Diomande in January.

We will definitely lose either Inácio or Diomande but not in January unless the release clause is triggered.

Darwin so far this season is working with almost double his goals per 90 from last. .48 last season to .86 this season.
All of you will be ashamed of your words and deeds. I remember those of you who said you were rooting for him though because of his playing style and the negativity he was garnering. You guys are bros.

I'm at a point where even though I want Ten Hag gone, I'm wishing he stays just because I don't like these players thinking they can outlast a manager. The consistent drop off from like 2nd or 3rd place to relegation level losing streaks is more than the manager doing a bad job. It's lost managers their jobs before, but I'm just wanting us to break the cycle and see where that takes us. If it requires sacking Ten Hag a year later, then I'll be fine with that.

Who are "these players" nowadays? Genuinely curious who you see as the group of players that see themselves that way. Martial, Bruno?
By Oddinho Go To PostWho are "these players" nowadays? Genuinely curious who you see as the group of players that see themselves that way. Martial, Bruno? It's difficult to specify which players because we know it's a problem the collective have done, but all the changing means there are players that haven't been around for every collapse. The mentality is routine though and it might not necessarily be a case of them purposely downing tools, but just a case of having a fragile mentality. I thought Ten Hag did a good job of curbing that after the first 2 matches last year (Liverpool match started the good run of form), by being pragmatic and abandoning his preferred way of playing. By making United sit deeper, it didn't allow players to get as many chances to shirk defensive effort.
It's hard to get rid of this mentality because it's a locker room and anyone you bring in obviously influence and get influenced by the personalities in the locker room. However, players like Rashford, Lindelof, McTominay, Martial, etc...have all been there for the relegation level performances that led to the sacking of Mou, Ole, Ralf, and potentially ETH.
And I'm not sure how the locker room responded to how de Gea was treated along with Sancho's exclusion. As far as I know, they are well liked by their peers.

Pros shouldn't be allowed to move like this. The board should step in. But they suck and are clueless.

It is really horrible right now and the storms have shut down many towns in the uk. Floods are currently expected.

Anyone checked on Pele to see if he is alive? His Botafogo played 2nd placed Palmeiras yesterday, they were leading 3-0 at half time but ended up losing 3-4. They now only have a 3 point advantage over Palmeiras (but also have played one game less), they had a 14 point advantage a few months ago.
