Cannot emphasise how much we need to sort our cm out. We need to find a way to be fluid without Thomas, against any sort of organisation we've struggled
By inky Go To Postwhy are we still watching this m9smorbid curiosity.
what are we doing to ourselves
By n8 dogg Go To PostAnother trophy chance for Kane disappearsnever heard of that club they lost to

i didnt even know we played today i went to get a massage
Kind of amazing that I knew we wouldn't score, said as much. I knew we would concede right after the 20 minutes "gotta pretend to give a shit" phase, then would concede again. I was ready.
And yet I still wasn't ready for us to be this shit. Unbelievable.

I think Ten Hag is gone. May not happen in the next few weeks/months, but once things get this dire there's no manager can turn it around.
We're genuinely finished as a footballing club. We've tried the club legend, the win at all costs managers and now the tactician/ideologue. None of them have worked and most have followed the same pattern of success with a subsequent failure to build on that promise.
The ultimate fault lies with the Glazer's. But they don't give a fuck and will keep cycling though managers and creaming off United's profits.

after that we have nothing left

This was never going to be easy. Everyone looks dejected.
Gordon's movement directly providing the pick by basically just running into Maguire for the Willock shot and goal was great. That's high level unselfish forward play.

Honestly find it cringe that anyone celebrates beating United right now
As easy a game as you’re going to get across the whole football league.

Looks like I missed a classic night of Carabao.
That being said, smart from ETH to ditch this competition they already won last year, can focus on the PL and the CL now.

I saw enough from him last season that makes me think he can be a success at United. And he has a good track record at Ajax.
But he can only succeed if the recruitment function is given to those with experience and proven success at it. I don't think that'll happen any time soon.

But if that structure can be put in place - he gets one more season.
By Lego Go To PostHe's a shit manager, it's quite simple
Absolutely isn’t shit. Did enough at Bayern II and Ajax to disprove that. Needs a good structure around him though. At Ajax he never would have been in charge of transfers.
He also actually needs to drastically improve the sides performance. I'm sympathetic to the challenges he's faced with Ronaldo, Greenwood, Antony and Sancho. They're tough things to deal with.
The lack of vision and leadership above him is the major issue that corrupts everything at the club. Those things should have been taken out of his hands, as well as the signing and recruitment of players. There's far too much responsibility on him.
But what happens on the pitch is still his purview. And he's now falling to make an improvement. We've gone back to the level we were under Rangnick and there's no sign of anything better to come.

By Punished Go To Post"did enough at Bayern ii"
Yes? Didn’t Xabi Alonso do enough at Sociedad B to get the Leverkusen job? Or Guardiola at Barcelona B?
Any self-professed big team wouldn't be caught with Lindelof, Maguire, 35yo Evans, Dalot, Reguilon, Amrabat as your backline week in week out. AWB came on and looked like an adult playing on a high school team. AWB!
Has to be said as well.
Has to be said as well.
Challenges with Antony and Sancho are on Hag. Even if Antony had no legal issues, he would still be a shit buy. And Sancho looks to be appaling man management

Got dicked around by Maguire and overestimated interest in McTominay. We wanted both gone yet they still remain. Apart from a few decent performances they've been mostly shit again this season.

He gave Sancho time off no questions asked last year (for what has been rumoured to be like a spell of quasi-rehab because of a sleeping pill addiction) and when he continued arriving late, he then blocked him from the squad and didn’t get any sort of contrition. I back him there.

Thank god Maguire did stay lol. With our injuries we’d be playing CMs at CB.

And Sancho looks to be appaling man managementTen Hag has done nothing wrong wrt Sancho. He's tried every approach with him but it hasn't worked. Gave him time off last season to deal with whatever issues he had. He came back and performances improved for a while until tapering off.
When he started arriving late for training again he was rightly booted out.

Along with his work at GAEagles and Utrecht, a body of work that got him the Ajax job.
It’s relevant because… it was managerial experience that was broadly positive?
Weird fucking thing to nitpick. Weird.
Cole looking a fair bit healthier than he did last time I saw him on TV, good to see. Are his kidney problems sorted?
By Punished Go To PostI just think he might be a shit manager tbf
The last three months of his career is the only evidence that points to that.
