Well done to Newcastle. Braced themselves very well early on, past 20 minutes clearly identified the weak spots and just fucking violently rammed us without much struggle.
Looking at both Newcastle goals and it's the lack of attacking quality is a bigger issue than our defence. Both goals came from us making terrible decisions in the final third and giving easy possession back.

Headed it 5 yards straight to HallBefore Van Dijk came in I'd almost forgotten what it was like to have a CB who routinely clears the box with his defensive headers. All our CBs before his arrival had a horrible habit of heading easy clearances either straight into the air, or down to the edge of the box.
