By Xpike Go To Postshanks how is it an error if he gets fouled lmao
crazy how random blokes can ref a game better than the literal "professionals" they hire, i would be disappointed but its clear the league would absolutely love spurs or city to win it all
Gabriel made the initial error 20 seconds earlier when he failed to clear the ball.
That caused the pressure that lead to the goal.
We will focus on the refs.
But we should be focusing on Gab having another mental error leading to a goal. And Raya doing whatever the fuck he did.
We should not have allowed ourselves to be in that situation.
That is the true disgrace.
I honestly hate when managers have vim when their team didn't do enough to win. Just seems like a deflection, even if it's not. The real issue is what are you going to do re havartz, that was clearly a mistake, our build up play just isn't what it was so our forwards suffer.

Ramsdale to Raya is as flatly “sidegrade” as you get. I simply don’t understand it. Havertz wasn’t an upgrade for Arsenal either. Very suspect recruitment this summer.

100%.
I have no idea what the point of Havertz out there was.
haverz played pretty well today, lot of passes to keep us moving, the problem is how nkeitah just will never be good enough
Pure evil đź’€
Had a chance to look at the goal etc now. Aye…nowt wrong with that. Cry more Mikel. Got a point for that Bruno one though, should have been off for that…but then again Havertz should have been off for his. I guess there’s your consistency.

By Dr3upMushroom Go To PostHavertz shouldn’t have been off. He got a yellow and that’s that. Bruno’s didnt even get a looking. They both should have been off. Havertz was completely reckless, fully off the ground at pace when the ball was long gone. It was a red. But it wasn’t. Bruno should have seen red, but it wasn’t. Like I said… consistency.
By Dazenheimer Go To PostThe music makes this..
lol that music
The two footed tackle at the start is possibly a red on its own… the elbow follow up though holy shit.
If the ref missed it he should cop a ban for that. Do they still do this now that var in theory is seeing everything?

Bruno should have seen red, but it wasn’t. Like I said… consistency. Not even. One was a tackle that what looked at by the ref and the ref made a call.
The Bruno act wasn’t even a play for the ball, he just went to harm another player. Didn't even get a check. Not to mention Bruno had gone into a tackle two footed just before hitting Jorginho.
By Dr3upMushroom Go To PostNot even. One was a tackle that what looked at by the ref and the ref made a call.Yeah like I said…he should be off. The fact the ref saw Havertz’s challenge means absolutely nothing, that tit of a ref made the wrong calls nearly 100% of the time tonight…for both teams.

FWIW, I think the Havertz tackle was reckless and stupid, got lucky with that. Same with Bruno with his attempted two footed tackle, and elbow to Jorginho's face.
Also, think we were robbed of a point. Gordon is offside, Joelinton clearly fouls Gabriel (and possibly handballs it) and the ball went out of play. Fair play to your bois tho, Will, defended very very well when you had to and kept your shape.
Getting sick of VAR, the inconsistency is maddening.

I need more than passes that keep us moving from havertz. I need invention, skill, goals, assists - something, anything!
Finally saw the Newcastle goal. Can't believe they didn't call a foul.
Just seeing the Bruno thing too. Wow, how did he stay on. Haven't seen the Havertz that was discussed on this page.

There is clear objective evidence the ball did not go out of play lol.
I don’t understand how people think Gordon was offside as well. He’s in line with the ball.
Only contentious one I can see is the foul, and even then it’s just Gabriel being outmuscled.
One thing is clear regardless of what you think, Arteta’s reaction has been completely, cartoonishly, OTT and embarrassing. Kicking up all that fuss for a point. If I was him I’d be more upset and concerned about never creating a single good chance to score.
I fucking loved watching him go spare on the touch line. Such a sweet win.

There's no way the margin of error on a posthoc visualization like that is small enough to trust that it is confirmed one way or the other

In any case, it’s not conclusive whether the ball went out of play. Therefore, goal has to stand.
By n8 dogg Go To PostIn any case, it’s not conclusive whether the ball went out of play. Therefore, goal has to stand.I would agree if it was just the ball-in-play issue, but when there are 3 subjective decisions to make for the goal to stand, I would rule it out just on balance of probabilities.

But if all three subjective decisions were inconclusive - and I would say only the in-play one was - then goal still stands.
I don’t see where the offside calls are coming from, for instance. Are people saying Gordon is ahead of the ball?
Football doesn't know what to do with those leading elbows challenges. Palinhas's from last week was even worse and that didn't even prompt a VAR review.
