By Sharp Go To PostIf they want to win with their current core (before they age out of contention or lose everyone) I don't blame them for going all in.
All in for Bridges though? I like Bridges but even I'm flabbergasted at the number of picks being thrown around. Guess that's the price to get a guy from a division rival.

Guess that's the price to get a guy from a division rival.Who else was even available? Rockets have been trying to trade their picks and no one's interested. Suns don't want to give up on their experiment yet. Lakers just want to collect LeBron/AD money as long as they can. Warriors are never gonna actually give up Curry or Draymond (even though they should). Markannen's good and on a bad team that doesn't fit his timeline, but based on how Ainge operates I'm sure it would getting him would require giving up even more than for Bridges. Otherwise, you can only really get guys perceived as super flawed / risky like Trae Young or Darius Garland and no one's willing to part with a ton of draft capital for that.
By diehard Go To Postehh could Lauri have been had for that price?I edited the post, but

Glad we picked a lane. Honestly, very happy for us to move everyone this summer (save Cam Thomas lol - Rob is right, he’s too fun).

"To my face" is doing a lot of work for a Duke alum.
Woj just casually dropping that the Rockets want to trade for KD, not bank on the Suns' pick panning out:
edit: Windhorst chiming in now too
Smokey going to live the entire OKC experience.

I think JJ will have some really good ideas about the offense but a LBJ offense has always been an LBJ offense and JJ aint changing it.
We'll have to see what happens, but I didn't balk at what they gave up. They took their team from a tough out to a legitimate chip contender imo. And unlike many times when teams mortgage the future this was done to lock in a bunch of guys that are only now entering their primes (some haven't).
Cap rise will help against the tax hits coming.
I could see them saying fuck it and keeping Hartenstein and trading him for tax relief in like a year.

Randle to Grizzlies works for Marcus Smart and Derek Rose. Saves money for NY, brings back a Thibs fave and a thorn for Boston, and gives them better roster flexibility if they want to hold onto OG.

Depends on what Hartenstein does and rumors that we were trying to trade Mitch since we can’t keep both.
a) That makes no sense because
b) all those dudes are fine tank commanders for the coveted '25 draft
c) they have to reach a salary floor anyhow
d) and nobody really cares to pick up any of those dudes

By n8 dogg Go To PostWould keep Schroder as a cheap 6th/7th man. Maybe Day’Ron. Everyone else can go.I like Sharpe more than Claxton. lol
By Sho_Nuff82 Go To Posthttps://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2fg2vbtgNo. I didn't want to trade Randle for Bridges straight up because I didn't think that would leave the Knicks with enough shot creation. The Knicks need need Randle's gravity and passing unless they trade him for someone that can provide something similar.

If Claxton could add a serviceable 3pt shot… baby you got a stew going
34% is all I ask for
They could get 2 firsts for Cam Johnson I would think, and maybe 1 for DFS. They got their 2025 pick which is all that matters, a chance at Flagg or Bailey is reason enough to tear it down.

Here's the names you should learn
6'10"
6'9"
They're both 17.

Also, we can fix Ben.
We have our very attractive middle of the pack #17th pick!

I would take Bronny
The Knicks demand very little of their centers outside of being big athletic and giving effort. They could fix him.

By reilo Go To PostNah ain't no way 2 firsts for Cam lolAnyone who gave up 2 firsts for Cam needs to be investigated for ties to the Nets, or anyone associated with the Nets

So glad we traded five firsts for Mikal…
Paul George is 34 and will cost 2x-3x as much over the next 3 years.
By jjasper Go To PostStopRandle a beast.
I have no idea if that trade would actually happen, but Curry / Podz / PG13 / Green / TJD or Looney is on paper a very good starting lineup (Podz had insane impact stats his rookie year and PG13 literally topped the regular season in RAPM, Curry and Draymond still seem like they have some gas left in the tank, and I think TJD is looking very promising as well). The bench might be bad though and the roster overall is super old / injury prone, plus it looks much much worse in like two years, but if you want to try to actually contend with Curry that would probably be the best way to do it.

I don't think they'd have enough scoring, not unless Brandin steps up in a big way.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostI don't think they'd have enough scoring, not unless Brandin steps up in a big way.Guards with outlier offensive rebounding (which Podz has) can sometimes get away with not being amazing scorers. It's just so rare/valuable to get any offensive rebounding out of that position. Josh Hart is kind of similar in that way (well, he's usually a more efficient scorer than he was this year, but you know what I mean). Guards also tend to struggle a lot with efficiency their first year, so I wouldn't be surprised if Podz improves substantially on that front next year. He definitely has great shooting touch, just needs to actually practice his free throws lol. And stop being scared to shoot.

Knicks fans avert your eyes
(one of the very few cases where saying this is not cope--note the date of this tweet).
Now if you want to say Mikal just wasn't good enough before that point to justify this expenditure, that's totally valid...
League sources suggested this week that Memphis has put as many as three picks (with protections) up to try and move into the top five, including the No. 9 pick. If we assume Clingan is the target, that could put him at No. 3, No. 5 or No. 6 from Charlotte (San Antonio's trade-back appetite at No. 4 is thought to be less, especially with their other pick at No. 8).
yolo
By jjasper Go To PostyoloWould honestly be very surprised if they do this, it would mean they're even higher on Clingan than I am (and I get the sense i'm kind of alone outside of UConn fans on my "Clingan has high upside" island). If they just wanted a Steve Adams type they should be able to get Edey at 9 without trading up, three firsts is more of a "we do actually think he's Embiid" deal.
