Rob written off as being worse than Trae Young defensively
By DY_nasty Go To PostI mean historically lol. The Harrison twins mafia was a scourgeI think it's because he was never actually expected to be a high pick in the first place, he was basically a legacy commit. People didn't have time to get together the propaganda apparatus. I think that's also why he took forever to move up in mock drafts, his new agent needed time to make those slick diagrams with all his 3P% splits and send them to draft media.
By DY_nasty Go To PostStill can't believe Reed is the one Kentucky guard getting hyper scrutinyThere is one I will not stand, and that is Rex Chapman slander
Supposedly, almost no top prospect has been willing to work out for the Rockets because they don't think they'll get any playing time there. That may be one reason they're so interested in trading the pick.

Shit they might call it quits with Jabari because Ime isn't interested in developing him, either.
By reilo Go To PostLol they want to trade the pick cause Ime doesn't want any more young players. In that same podcast they mentioned the Rockets aren't sold on either Jalen or Sengun as a guy you build around... pretty realistic but I was kind of surprised to hear essentially a FO mouthpiece actually say that, I assume that's coming from Ime.

By blackace Go To PostSpeaking of wanting things, people swear the Lakers are going to get Murray before the draftKhris Murray? Not sure he does anything for them but okay.
By DY_nasty Go To PostI figured if anyone was outta Houston it'd be Jabarihe bought some time by turning into Dirk during the preseason
By DY_nasty Go To PostFlip Murray?in a few years we might compare Dejounte to Flip
By blackace Go To Posthe bought some time by turning into Dirk during the preseasonIt kinda depends... the split between Jabari's box score metrics (which look fine for a second year player who's going to be a good starter but probably not a star--second year he was -0.4 BPM and Jalen Green didn't even reach that in his third year) and his RAPM based metrics (which make him look like a gigantic bust and one of the worst players in the league) is really extreme right now. Based on how the Rockets have been acting in free agency where they signed all the high RAPM guys, they probably think he sucks, but it seems like other teams might too because I never heard any reports about a team actually asking for him.

By reilo Go To PostPortland would gladly trade Jerami Grant for Jabari but then he'd end up as Vonleh 2.01.3 maybe

Tracy, gotta get them some of those shooters

Tom Thibodeau says he’s already been in touch with Jericho Sims about ideas for next season. One he shared with us is “the idea of him as a hub” — he didn’t say his name, but think of how 2001 Lakers ran things through Shaq

Why would they do that when Morant is so unreliable? Staying at 9 and getting Devin Carter or Cody Williams makes way more sense.
By DY_nasty Go To Posthttps://www.reddit.com/r/NBA_Draft/comments/1dnr5da/castle_shot_chart/Spurs fans overwhelmingly say they want him to be their #4 pick and think he and Sochan should play together in the starting lineup. I can't tell if they actually believe this is a good idea and want Wemby to play on maximum hard mode, or it's cope because they know Reed probably won't fall to #4.
💀💀

I think it is more people trying to connect dots like memphis wants to move up Udoka likes smart. That could work. And don’t put much thought into it. Not that they wouldn’t try to move up or move Smart. But if they move up for a rookie they are going to spend picks if they move Smart it is going to be basis in a trade for someone like Brook Lopez or Jarrett Alan.

I'm not sure if him saying that makes it more or less likely than it already was, lol.
By Sharp Go To PostIf Brad Stevens is really smart he'll dump Jaylen Brown for someone who's actually good in the playoffs.Hm maybe I shouldn't reread last year's offseason thread actually.
By reilo Go To PostHe was going to need that surgery regardless. He still probably shouldn't have played since he could've messed up other stuff but it probably didn't impact his recovery timeline.
why THE fuck was he playing
