Would be nice if our team remembered how to box out but I guess that’s too much to ask
They just keep giving up in uncontested offensive rebounds.

By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostMore mobile Myles TurnerTurner can make threes I think that's asking too much of Sarr
By reilo Go To PostWhat's Sarr's upside? Tyson Chandler?Like I said, to me he is just kind of Mobley redux (oh but don't worry the shooting upside is real this time, we promise!). Which isn't amazing for a #1 pick most years, but playing next to Trae is like a perfect fit for him. Sarr will get like 15 points on lobs a game, and the Hawks get the mobile defender they desperately needed, and they had to give up literally nothing for it or even tank. If someone else were picking at #1 I wouldn't be so sure, but I just can't see them passing up on him.
Of course, I'm low on him... I saw someone say his upside is AD lol (not even a Hawks fan, this was right before the lottery).
Mobile, finesse big men always get mad love until they suit up lol
But he does very well in PnR and in this draft for the Hawks that makes a lot of sense

Story yesterday said Victor is intrigued. It's gonna be them, the Pels or Nets.
By blackace Go To PostThat is highly likely too, but that doesn't change the makeup of the Hawks going into the draft… unless they got a deal done before the draftI still think they take Sarr but not because he's a good frontcourt partner for Trae

I really don't know why people are so convinced Trae is gone... when people say he doesn't play well next to Dejounte it implies that the team does well with either of them as the lead guard, but if you look at the lineup data it's more like "the team is only good when Trae is in the lineup without Dejounte and sucks otherwise." I think they're trying to trade Dejounte, not Trae. If they do trade Trae, I think it would be for a massive return, especially if it's for anything other than their own picks back from the Spurs (since they can't tank for a few years otherwise).

By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostStory yesterday said Victor is intrigued. It's gonna be them, the Pels or Nets.Word out of the Pels camp is that they want nothing to do with Trae. Current and former ATL coaches apparently say they hate Trae, too. As the person, not the player.
Trading Murray is probably easier, they won't get as much back but it also means they're forever stuck at Trae's level
Trading Trae is much harder, no one will want to give up enough for his bullshit unless you get a team like the Wizards who've just given up on life

I watched the entire second half of the fever game then took my dog for a walk, how is there still so much time left in this game?

Lol, Trae does seem like a dick so not surprising.

Yes
Not sure why Pop would want anything to do with this, let alone Wemby. He's already got Sochan fucking things up.
Trae seems like one of those players who can only play one way (everything through him) and I imagine thats not great for everyone else. Worse when you aren't exactly winning too. Getting 2-3 coaches fired also isn't a great look.
BUT the Hawks also haven't built that great either. Holding onto Collins, Capela, and their "wings" too long and losing shooting in the process.
but bottom line tiny guards who take a lot of bad shots is a tough guy to build with

I mean all this also describes Luka (who graded out similarly by RAPM until this year when he finally got someone he was willing to give up the ball to in Kyrie). To me they're like very similar players conceptually even though they obviously have different games, they are tough to build around because they don't really play defense and play so heliocentric but can thrive in the right circumstances. I think it's hard to say he can't elevate great teammates when he hasn't really had any.
To be clear, I'm not personally a fan of Trae going to the Spurs, I can just see the logic behind it.

And the obvious response was no longer avoidable - Atlanta needed another ball handler so that Trae could space the floor off ball and create additional opportunities for the team. Atlanta sent the farm for Murray and Trae essentially gave up the idea completely after two dozen games then went right back to the same ball dominant bs. They've been firmly in no man's land ever since.
