By Sharp Go To PostCan they even get a solid bench player for the 3 pick?
They keep trying to give the Nets their pick back lol.

Slightly retired Udonis Haslem and a Publix sub
Just had a Publix sub for the first time yesterday and I can say definitively that no one would want the #3 pick over a chicken tender sub.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostI haven't been able to see my nephews much the last 2 months, but saw them today and my reach has been felt. The younger one has been killing it in track, he's only had 1 practice since coming back from his ankle injury, he's placed 2nd for 7th graders in each of his last 2 long jump events, he still has no form, the coach had him watch a goddamn long jump video before his first meet. He's placed 3rd in the 200m, 1st in the 100m and his relay team won. I had been texting him every other day with workout routines he can do nightly for the last 2 months, and today I saw his little rhomboids popping out his shirt, and he has clear definition and separation between his bicep and shoulders plus he's almost as tall as his 15 year old brother now, what used to be a 5" height difference is down to an inch.good shit
I feel like the jump he has this summer will be even bigger than last year, think they're sending him to basketball camp and back to the trainer he used before he hurt his ankle in addition to me and him working out. He told his father he wants it, I been waiting for that, he told me he wants to go with me to play against men. I been working out getting ready for that too, yall may get some videos of us putting in work against others, my jumper is looking pretty.

Good weight for that height too, usually guys his height are like 170-190
By reilo Go To PostHe's got no wiggle
Yeah, that one's a no from me. Blazers need dudes that can shoot- he's not one of them. He sorta fits the profile of what the team likes because he's super athletic but still... no.
By reilo Go To Postoh my god he is 197lbs what the fuck lolHe's also bad at basketball... really don't understand the hype for him.
also that wingspan is not great bob!
By reilo Go To Postlol legit called that earlier
Ime doesn't want any more young dudes that need development especially in a draft full of projects all the way into the top 5
That could mean Reed Sheppard or could mean trading the pick... either way Smokey won.

Rockets desperately need a big and Landale fuking sucks Sharp pls. I wouldnβt be opposed to taking Clingan if they kept the pickβ¦
By reilo Go To Postedey outjumped clingan??? well, i won't read too much into that since this is a very contrived test that doesn't translate particularly well to game speed.

By Kibner Go To Postedey outjumped clingan??? well, i won't read too much into that since this is a very contrived test that doesn't translate particularly well to game speed.I'm telling you all Edey will be a solid player. One that's very hard to maximize like he was in college because you can't realistically build a lineup around him, but he's not going to be unplayable or anything.
By Kibner Go To Postedey outjumped clingan??? well, i won't read too much into that since this is a very contrived test that doesn't translate particularly well to game speed.Clingan is only 10lbs lighter, they're not far off size wise from each other
EDIT: Also, I'm sure they'll do agility tests which will be very informative
Colorado wing Cody Williams #NBADraftNot 6'8
π 6'6.5" (without shoes)
π 178.4 lbs
π 7'1" wingspan
Skinny af wow
Good wingspan
I think Cody will be a huge swing for someone

I also think he will be solid. Maybe only in a 20-30 MPG role, but playable.

By reilo Go To PostClingan is only 10lbs lighter, they're not far off size wise from each otherI dunno if they've done agility tests yet but apparently Edey also beat Clingan in the 3/4 sprint and barely lost to Sarr. Supposedly Sarr was much slower than expected which tracks with him being kinda... bad at a lot of stuff for a seven footer athletic freak.
EDIT: Also, I'm sure they'll do agility tests which will be very informative
I mean he is a pretty good free throw shooter. He got a lot of preferred treatment in collegeso I remain skeptical as an overall product but I mean who knows this shit is all guessing 90% of the time anyway.
By Kibner Go To PostHopefully someone comes in with an offensive plan beyond pray Ja can do something cool.
By reilo Go To PostAfter JV I'm sure Edey will look as light on his feet as Rodman lolI'm used to plodding bigs. A list of prominent centers in my time as a Pels fan:
- Tyson Chandler
- Emeka Okafor
- Omer Asik
- Alexis Ajinca
- Ryan Anderson
- Anthony Davis
- Demarcus Cousins
- Nikola Mirotic
- Derrick Favors (washed version)
- Steven Adams
- Jonas Valanciunas
Slow is but a mattering of degrees to me.

By reilo Go To PostFrom an hour agoWelp.
Edey's lane agility time would be the third fastest of any listed C measured at the combine any of the last three years (only Drew Timme at 10.93 was clearly ahead of him, and Timme is like 6'10"). Take that with a grain of salt obviously since top prospects didn't participate in the combine until this year.
Edey's 3/4 court and closeout speed are fine. He struggles when he needs to move in smaller increments and change directly quickly. That is how he will be targeted on defense, imo. I'm not sure how much he can improve on that with NBA coaching.

I'm not sure how much he can improve on that with NBA coaching. He can cover a lot of ground quickly with some ramp-up speed but can't react in time to cover shorter distances to be impactful on short close outs?
I mean it's possible he has processing issues but at this point I think it's fair to say Edey is fairly agile for a traditional center, he keeps getting top scores on everything agility / speed related. Props to him for working hard on this stuff throughout his time in college.
