By Kabro Go To PostOmg no more Shaq please.
Shaq ruined inside the nba but also it is still better than whatever espn does. Ideal situation would have been for espn to lose out to nbc.
4 game suspension for Pat Bevstigator. Might be a little harsh, but this guy's just smol Draymond so... learn to speak Chinese buddy
By DY_nasty Go To PostI hope they have a better idea for how to handle the next two rounds lol. This strategy only works when the players you're leaving open shoot worse than you do.
Like Fr they are fucked
Mavs playoff rotation players shooting at least 40% on wide open shots with the defender 6+ feet away (or "open" shots, defender 4-6 feet away, percentage in parentheses): Kyrie 48.7% (37.0%), Luka 45.5% (37.8%), Josh Green 41.9% (34.5%). Josh Green is barely a rotation player too. Not surprised this brilliant strategy is working here.
Nuggets: MPJ 44.7% (39.3%), KCP 44.0% (32.4%), Justin Holiday 42.4% (35.7%), Murray 41.3% (43.3%), Jokic 40.6% (32.3%). Not amazing especially since Holiday is only sort of a rotation player, but 4/5 starters will outshoot the Thunder if you leave them wide open like this.
Wolves: KAT 48.7% (34.0%), Conley 47.7% (40.4%), Naz Reid 43.8% (40.8%), Ant 42.9% (34.7%), NAW 37.9% (44.0%). Basically, every big minute player but Gobert and Jaden McDaniels is a sniper when left wide open.
Celtics: Horford 46.2% (33.3%), Tatum 44.0% (38.5%), Hauser 45.1% (42.7%), Jrue 42.4% (44.2%), White 42.3% (40.0%), Tingis 41.9% (34.7%), Pritchard 41.4% (36.5%). Brown at 33.3% (39.7%) just misses, but that is still a higher 3P% than the Thunder. So their entire playoff rotation will outshoot the Thunder if left open from deep (and 4/8 will even if they're covered).
On top of that, the Wolves, Celtics, and Thunder are all among the best in the league at defending the three and the Mavs are below average... I've actually been pretty optimistic about the Thunder's chances of winning a chip this year compared to almost everyone but not if they expect this kind of dumb gimmicky bullshit to work against actual well constructed teams.

The 6th word is "my" 🤓
Wolves ownership update: Glen Taylor admitted during arbitration that Lore/Rodriguez have the money and they did meet the deadlines. I'm old enough to remember that Taylor originally tried to send out info to reporters like Woj that they weren't good for the money.
Can this guy just go away so it stops being a distraction and KG can come back?

nah the international players are too spread out in small countries for any team to ever challenge the us.
Team USA has been pretty rickety since 08. Spain and France have been right there. Given how old some of the guys on this summer's team are, wouldn't even shock me if they didn't take home gold.
JJ got him, Lebron laughed cause he was full of shit. Lakers got away with a fuckton of physicality. AD was inside Jokic's shirt every possession and should've fouled out.
By DiPro Go To Postnah the international players are too spread out in small countries for any team to ever challenge the us.France is going to be a problem, if they get any kind of average guard between now and 2028 we could be in real big trouble with them. International ball favors teams with bigs, and they will have that.
By n8 dogg Go To Postthat was fast, bud would be good.
All these poorly built teams always blaming the coaches crack me up. The new owner is why that team is ass.
By n8 dogg Go To PostFucking hilarious man
Poor Vogel, he had them playing an above average defense too
By Kibner Go To PostI feel his pain
By DY_nasty Go To PostNurk isn't getting younger. He was the only reason they even stayed in games frYea he anchored that defense as much as it was reasonably expected from him.
Their offense was trash because KD, Beal, and Booker just want to take turns playing ISO middy ball
Anyway don't do it Chauncey

Anyway TNT can go off of Shaq alone but I fear Shaq will land on ESPN and they'll have him and Perkins do the dumbest thing
Why aren't people looking at the simplest of stats? Shaq and Stephen A Smith are big mad. They made a stink about Embiid and now they're making a stink about SGA. But the numbers don't lie, Jokic leads SGA in every metric apart from points and steals: 30.1 vs 26.4.
Joker dominates everywhere else: 2x the rebounds (12 vs 5.5), 9 assists vs 6.2, 58% FG vs. 53%, and has a small advantage of .359 vs .353 with the 3-ball. Higher eFG: 61% vs. 57%, +/- is higher by 4. V.O.R.P has Jokic at an astronomical 10.6, compared to Shai's 7.1. Come on. Anybody not voting for Joker has an agenda behind it.
By reilo Go To PostThis is why I actually get mad when people try to act like his ring doesn't count because he went through weak teams... getting mad at him for needing injury luck to get a ring with that supporting cast is like getting mad at Hakeem for getting his rings when Jordan was stuck in the minors.
This is a WILD stat
Tyrese scared of the bright lights and Carlisle is more occupied with keeping track of every call he doesn’t like, so just sit OG the rest of the series

Mobley giving a little taste of how good he could be if this kind of self creation on offense weren't fake.
