So the Suns lost in the finals then traded a bunch of players and draft picks to turn into a team that gets swept in the first round?

In a 105-93 Game 2 loss at Minnesota, the Suns let the officiating and sloppy play take them out of a winnable game. Once Phoenix lost its composure, Minnesota pulled away, igniting the Target Center crowd.
Trailing by 15 with 3:53 left, Vogel tried to empty the bench, saving his starters for Game 3, scheduled for three days later in Phoenix. He called on five bench players to prepare to check into the game, but sources briefed on the situation say Booker expressed in the huddle that he preferred the current group stay in, as he thought the Suns still had a chance. Vogel kept the current five in the game, but not much changed. Booker fouled out 90 seconds later, and Vogel sent in the reserves.

Oof. What a completely mediocre season.
Offense was bad the whole season, with guys in and out of the line up, it was never cohesive. Never well designed or playing to any one players particular strengths.
Nurkic had a hell of a season, but was a terrible fit for this team.
Beale was never comfortable in his role.
Booker & Durant should have been able to design and orchestrate a better offense just on their own. What a turd sandwich by both of them.
Hated the vogel hire (not sure he's ever been a good coach).
And they're now above the second apron so can't sign free agents at all (no exceptions).

Embarrassing shit from KD, who begged to play with Booker then demanded they trade the only PG on the roster for another 25ppg iso guy. Is he shocked that Beal isn't Harden or Draymond and willing/able to perfectly deliver the ball to him in transition or off of curls? A new coach doesn't fix the busted roster *you* demanded, again.

Probably about 25 guys more qualified than Book, Beal, and Grayson Allen. As we've seen with LeBron, Draymond, Sabonis, and Jokic, playmaking doesn't have to come from a pure PG but it has to come from somewhere.
KD specifically bounces between "system ball is goofy, let me cook" and "coach isn't putting guys in a position to maximize our talents" depending on outcomes, he can't have it both ways.

There isn't.
You go from LBJ, Jokic, Doncic, Sabonis, Haliburton (Maybe Conley?)
To score first guys who happen to handle the ball alot, Trae, Fox, LIllard, Booker, SGA, Brunson, Murray, Dlo, Beale. None of whom the suns need more of.
There are "connector" guys, Draymond, Giddey, Derrick White etc who are probably the more realistic upgrades to helping facilitate.
Giddey is about the only realistically available target on that list. But not really. Because the suns haven't got anything to trade for him.
The offense could be fixed by replacing the coach. But they need defensive role players around the other guys. But i don't think they have enough assets to fix that. Not anymore.
Dennis was had for corn chips but they wanted to make rotation players out of guys like nas little lol
How can everyone forget that the Suns free agency was hailed as a success because the signed Yuta, THE Bol Bol and Keita Bates-Diop?

Tyus Jones or Dennis Schroder would have done a better job ffs
Goddamn the Vogel hit peace. It's never Durant's not Booker's fault, huh.
Whoever said that they still haven't played the let KD and Booker pick their coach card was right.
ALSO, you gotta be one helluva roster full of knuckleheads where Nurkic finished the whole season and came out of it as the calm and mature one.

it's not going to happen, but i wish ingram would be benched for the entire game tonight. it wouldn't sink his trade value any more than he already has with his play and it would make the pels more fun to watch.
Knicks fans rolled through Philly like ISIS in Iraq and hung their flag on Wilt. Philly has one of the most embarrassing moments for a NBA fanbase that I can remember

ingram frustrates me so much. it's almost the opposite of KAT. He has the mentality of a #1 without the athleticism and skills required but is also unable to allow himself to go down a notch in the offensive priority and change his game to do so.
I know you don't like CJ, but he changed his game a lot when all three stars were healthy. He dribbled significantly less, took a bunch more 3s, and a bunch less middies. He knew he was 3rd on the totem pole and fit it as best he could.
Ingram and Zion both want to be #1 and are bad at being a #2 (because off-ball movement). Zion is better at both than Ingram, though, but he was still willing to be his sidekick while playing himself back in shape.
Ingram never changed his game for anyone. He set a career high in 3pta his first year in NOLA and then proceeded to take fewer and fewer this year until we are at the point where you are just as likely to see a Jonas or Nance 3pta as an Ingram one. (e: understood the per 100 poss stat wrong; you are nearly twice as likely to see an Ingram 3 than a JV 3; point still stands at how awfully infrequently he takes them, though)
He'd be a much better player if he would change his mental approach to the game. But he won't or can't.
