By blackace Go To Postthey really threw developing him in the bushes. He's constantly looking rushed which is something you don't want to see from a 3rd year player with his skillset

By pilonv1 Go To PostHow do the Cavs have four rotation players out before November? The Pels also had four out for the Warriors last night. Jose and Trey injured before preseason, Naji a scary sprain, and Ingram had a sore knee.
Craig Porter looks good at least
Yeah but everyone expects it from the Pels.
Cleveland really out here with a Porter/Merrill/Bates/Niang/Thompson lineup on national TV in the second week of the season

By Rob Go To PostWere players this fragile in the 90s and earlier? Not so much, but they also weren't tasked with so much movement and sudden changes of direction, either. It was also easier to get away with less effort.
Majority of players prior to last twenty years also did a 4 year stint in college which included a lot less games played and overall less playing time. The athletic comp also wasn't as high, and neither was the pace.

All the new resting rules did was make the October-All Star Break portion of the regular season even more meaningless.
At least that's what it feels like so far. Might as well front load most of the load management.

I'm kinda over some of the shit tbh. If you're not able to play or really have that longevity, then like... That's just the reality of it.
They're gonna lose the narrative with this fr

Most of them probably played through minor injuries that guys are sitting with because the regular season wasn't so devalued. Winning 60+ games was important.
90s players were less explosive in general and probably not a bad thing in some ways. It's always super sad to see guy's knee unravel from no contact.
Also the NBA was a more physical of a game back then and dudes were more willing to permanently damage themselves for glory. I mean Zeke would almost certainly always be in the top 3 PG discussion if he didn't grind his ankle to dust for no reason

If Shaq is making the Bol Bol comparison you can now officially dead it. Prestigious company. Congrats, BA.
