By Dark PhaZe Go To PostThat's not bad at all honestly. How's he look in transition? Not great, but 75% of centers are toast in transition in transition and I'm probably being generous.
By Sharp Go To PostAfter watching that video a couple times, I am less concerned about his foot speed than about his ability to flip his hips, shift gears, and change direction. I think he would be fine against straight-line drives but would get cooked by step-back specialists and shifty ball-handlers. Misdirection would likely work well against him, too, unless he can learn to flip those hips, baby.
Just throwing this out there… his mobility is a lot better than it used to be which is why I'm relatively higher on him than a lot of people here.
By reilo Go To PostIs his mobility good or are those guards slow?
His lane agility test was better than Steven Adams, Gobert and Lopez.

I think he would be fine against straight-line drives but would get cooked by mid-range specialists and by misdirection and/or shifty ball-handlers.Most teams will happily let you take those midrange shots. And yeah, he can definitely be attacked by elite ball handlers, but he also gives you much more on offense than most switchable bigs which I think lessens the impact of that to some extent. Mostly just saying I think his defense will be at least serviceable to the point that he's not played off the court during the regular season.

Mostly just saying I think his defense will be at least serviceable to the point that he's not played off the court during the regular season.I amended my thoughts to change mid-range to step-back specialists and gave a reason why he would struggle against the craftier ballhandlers. The hip thing would also make him difficult to play against quality PnR teams because he would have a hard time changing assignments.
I still want the Pels to draft him with a late- or non-lottery pick.
By Kibner Go To PostI amended my thoughts to change mid-range to step-back specialists and gave a reason why he would struggle against the craftier ballhandlers.I think he's going lottery as long as GMs think he can defend well enough to be a starting center (which I do). I get that the way he plays is not where the game is going, but at the end of the day post ups still work for guys with his size advantage. Boban plays the same way and has insane offensive impact stats, he's just a total defensive sieve. And Edey will do great in drop, at defensive rebounding, etc. The question teams should be asking IMO is "can he defend in space well enough that teams can't score more efficiently than he can" which is very different from whether he's an actually good defensive center.

Christian Koloko, Zhou Qi, Tyler Zeller, Meyers Leonard, Byron Mullens, and Chris Kaman
what a list of names
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostMitchell is going to New York, whether it's the Knicks or Nets. Nets are supposedly interested in Johnnie Bryant as head coach too, he helped Donovan develop in Utah.how are you sure he is leaving cle?
Spurs need to focus on getting players in the same age range as Victor. Nothing worse than trying to speed up a rebuild too much
By unknown Go To Posthow are you sure he is leaving cle?
Everybody leaves Cleveland. Some do it twice.
its funny to me ESPN has tried so many different configurations to get a good NBA studio show and keep failing.
but they nail it w/ the Women's Tournament show the first time out

Jordan Walsh is gonna leave and be another Nesmith :/

By pilonv1 Go To PostBoston is hot garbage"They won against a playoff team down two starters with nothing to play for playing their bench for most of the fourth quarter, but they didn't do it by enough!"
Like I said earlier... Wemby is going to be impossible to tank with next season as long as he plays with a competent point guard. Pop is trying as hard as he can to tank right now by resting every other starter and playing him with Zach Collins and they just beat the Pelicans on the road without even having an outlier shooting night.

By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostI'd want a core around his own age, especially with the Thunder core guys being young. I'm not about to leave any doors open for him to leave cause we gotta look for another star to pair him up with in 4 yrs.Not the first time the Thunder had a young future champions core. Nothing is promised and having a vet star would probably help Wemby's growth
Didn’t realize the K N I C K S are 1-4 since beating the tanking raptors
Crazy, could’ve been tied or taken #2
Randle gotta go

Had to look up Alaina Anderson. She's mixed and sometimes can pass as white.
