By pilonv1 Go To PostDude needs to just go play in Europe. Sixers never letting him go
LOL another L for him
Russ was this close to having to play in Utah. He's going to keep his mouth shut and come off the bench if it means staying in Cali.
Morey will try to reroute the picks for a guy like Zach Lavine is my guess. IDK what do you think knux?

nothing matters if Biid can't perform in the playoffs. The offense not being as stagnant as it has been is a start but until he doesn't get shut down by old men or double teams in the playoffs can't really think much.
Lavine would be nice but I think we need a wing more..but so does the rest of the league. I don't think Morey likes Lavine tho and that contract eats into his capspace "plan".

Still mad about that cheap shit Curry pulled last night. Even more mad about the Pels getting dominated on the boards.
By DiPro Go To Postif you gave me the task to assemble my least favourite team with all nba players available i would probably end up with the 23/24 clippers.
Requesting a trade?

If you squint real hard. When Ben Simmons and Sixers had their fall out he was a 24-year-old near-triple double machine coming off of 3 ASG appearances, 2 All-NBA Defensive selections, and an All-NBA selection.
His decline didn't really happen until he went to the Nets, so calling it a semi-win is with incredible hindsight.
Morey leveraged that into Harden (a recent MVP and future HoF!) and then fucked that up. So, semi-win is generous.

Oh and as pointed out elsewhere, Harden lost out on $200mil in all of this. PJ Tucker was also Sixers big get in the '22 off-season and he's gone 15 months later.
There's only losers here.
EDIT: Actually, Maxey might be the real winner here. The contract he signs will be big this coming off-season.

Plus: no more Marcus.
Negatives: Fat Larden, no backup PF to go small ball, injury prone vets, loss of flexibility with Batum/RoCo.

Wanting to argue that Knicks don't have anywhere the top-end talent of Embiid and Maxey
Counter-arguing with myself that Embiid needs to show he's a playoff performer
Counter-arguing wtih myself that the Knicks collectively need to show they're playoff performers
EDIT: Oh god, and now I'm debating Thibs vs Nurse in my head. Why masud, why

By reilo Go To PostThat's just Sixers playoff basketballBen had to go is all I'm saying. Didn't matter who was in the FO. If anything, its hard to think of many orgs who would've defended a guy like that for as long as they did.

I'm just saying, there's no winners in any of this, agreeing to the tweet's original point.
Both teams win IMO.
Our vibes are good rn and it allows Maxey to learn on the fly instead of always wondering if Morey was going to force Harden back into the fray. I don't think we are contenders but we weren't with a pissed off Harden either sooooo. Yeah we got a pack of ass in terms of players back but said pack of ass is replacing a guy who didn't want to be here and a washed PJ Tucker. The Picks also replenish decades worth of picks in past short sighted trades. Are we better? Probably not enough to matter in terms of chips but again I don't think keeping Harden even if he wasn't mad would have changed that much...at least now I think we play a more watchable brand of basketball lol.
As for the Clippers, as much as I love to clown, they will be fine. Harden for all of his issues is an incredible regular season player...this allows Kawhii to take off time on and off the court, and be ready to carry hard in the playoffs which Biid has not shown capable of doing. Now I do question the off ball stuff tho as PG is the only guy that really has off ball juice but again Harden is incredible in the regular season as the stagnant offense doesn't matter as much. Balmer is fucking loaded and bored so I don't think they will ever truly be out of it again tho.
In the end neither team gave up much when you look into context IMO. Harden is the best player in the deal but he also didn't want to be here anymore and doesn't fit what Nurse wants to do...so who cares
