There's chasm as wide as the grand canyon between lead guards that are good three-point shooters and roleplaying guards that are good three-point shooters.
You don't need to look further than the likes of Brunson, Curry, Lillard, and Luka and see that 4 out of 5 of those are assisted less than 50% on their 3PTM. Curry is assisted the most at around 60% for his career.
Derrick White and Alex Caruso are not in the same league as three-point shooters.

By reilo Go To PostThere's chasm as wide as the grand canyon between lead guards that are good three-point shooters and roleplaying guards that are good three-point shooters. No shit, but nobody ever said they were. My point is that there are teams with guys who can't even make open shots and no one with amazing creation ability (e.g. the Spurs) that still have what would historically be considered "great" offensive ratings and are merely bad ones in 2023. That's just how the league is now. Having three guys who can take open threes at a 40% clip in a lineup is way more valuable than you think, they are not going to score 100 points per game just because they don't have a Luka or a Brunson.

By reilo Go To PostYou are definitely making it sound like all makes are equal. If I actually thought all makes were equal I would not be saying that lineup would be bad offensively. A 110 offensive rating is bottom of the barrel in the modern league, and I think they would do marginally better than that because there's lots of evidence that all you have to do is be able to hit open shots to do better than that. What you are proposing is that a team with these players would score at like G league lineup levels which is just not true.

It's quite a stretch to think that the hypothetical starting lineup I threw out there would win 45+ games.

I value Caruso and White a ton. Just not as the driving offensive force of a team I want to win games. See: Mikal Bridges

>The 76ers’ desire to acquire Paul George in free agency is the NBA’s worst-kept secret.
>There are some who expect both sides to reach an agreement, leading to George joining forces with Joel Embiid and Tyrese Maxey next season.
>Call me a cynic. I believe the small forward’s stated interest in the Sixers is about creating leverage with the Clippers.
Knuxxxxx
That 5 minute clip of JJ and Lebron discussing the inverted PnR on ESPN pre-game with a former player would be fucking gold. But nah. Inside the NBA does this a little bit but much more high level.

JJ is the only Duke guy I've ever enjoyed watching. He was him in college.
Anyway lol @ Boston being unable to beat a crippled Atlanta team twice in a week.
Hawks are better without Trae

All y'all Duke appreciating motherfuckers, why are you resisting the call to ministry? Like Jesus Cobain said, come as you are. JJ said in the gospel of Mike "fuck Maryland." The alter is open.

They lost these last two games by a combined three points and slaent is rejoicing, I could know nothing about the sport and still know they were going to the finals based on that. Like the Chiefs and 49ers last season.

Orlando
I think the Knicks could beat them if they were healthy, three point shooting team vs physical defensive team that can offensive rebound? Those types of series always turn out ugly or closer for the more talented team.

Philly is built to fold.
Miami has Rozier to shoot them out of any series.
Bucks lol
Orlando will pour jelly on themselves trying to make Paolo happen and they still haven't solved their guard issue.
Pacers are free

Depends if Robinson has any legs left. Adding OG makes them a good choice too
The Hawks killed them on the boards both games this week, they look prone to teams that crash the offensive glass. Even Wes Matthews got one in OT

what happened in the NBA tonight, I don't even know
Pels won Celtics lost I’m happy. Only sad that the lakers and mavs couldn’t also lose on the same night.
