By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostPlayoff game in New Orleans, WAR KIBNER!New Orleans is a basketball city. They just been waiting for a good basketball team to cheer for.
All these 2021 draft picks who were terrible their whole careers to this point (like Giddey and Jalen Green) suddenly started going crazy right before teams need to decide whether to give them a max extension... suspicious.

That's the history that happened. Shame on us for not remembering.
Can't believe y'all are watching Lakers-Bucks when there's a RO College Basketball Invitational semifinal game involving Seattle U and Fairfield happening on ESPN2. More people are in attendance than active slaent posters. Not many more, but I'd give the edge to comped attendees depending on the camera angle.
Thought with LeBron ducking the Bucks had an easy win
Maybe we can still make a run at the second seed. We have an easier schedule than Bucks and Cleveland I believe

Your Celtics card has been exchanged for a Lakers card. You can now only post SHOOKers or WASHED Lakers. the excommunicado goes in effect in 1 hour. Can't delay it.
Have a nice day.
reilo, does this game mean the Bucks aren't real contenders? I mean, they did just lose to the LeBron-less Lakers with a fully healthy roster, and the Lakers shot 30% instead of 50% from three and the Bucks haven't clinched a playoff spot yet. They also blew a 19 point lead and scored only 13 points in the fourth quarter... serious indictment of their ability to close out games IMO, bad process.

Where did I ever claim they weren't real contenders? You know better than do strawman arguments.
My only contention with the Celtics is that I just don't think they're infallible like the analytics say they are. I don't trust Tatum nor Brown, and I don't trust KP's health, and Jrue is dealing with a dead arm a month before the playoffs begin.
But anyway, this was a classic "how do the Lakers shoot so many more freethrows than the opponent?" game:
+15FTA in a 2OT game, sub-40% shooting, more turnovers, less assists, even in PITP
But let's cancel the playoffs then, Celtics got this, right? Wonder what the analytics said about Denver's championship odds in 2023 as a #1 53-win seed with a so-so net rating or the Warriors in '22 with a similar profile as Denver. Because it sure looked like Boston had it looked up in '22 and '23, right?

You know better than do strawman arguments.I just think you have double standards for the Bucks vs. other teams. They scored 13 points in the fourth quarter with what will presumably be their playoff lineup in a game that at least slightly mattered to tthem, why is that not an indictment of their clutch time offense? If the issue is free throw disparity, should they not be able to score more than 13 points without free throws? Or, is it okay to admit that sometimes there are fluke games that don't tell you much about the team's season?

And the Nuggets' and Warriors' starting units were also much better than the teams as a whole, this isn't really the case for any of the Eastern Conference teams Boston is facing.
How do I have double standards for the Bucks π
I called out how poorly coached by Griffin they were all seasion. I've said nothing beyond that and where they rank as contenders. I don't even like the Doc Rivers hire.

By reilo Go To PostI think that's less about Cooper being small and more about Paolo being the height of Dwight Howard.
Had it in my mind that Cooper was bigger than that.
By Kibner Go To PostHoward was short for a center, though. If Paolo is as tall as Dwight, Cooper is as tall as Kawhi.Dwight was short for a center, but very tall for a SF which is what Flagg is supposed to play (unless something changed?). I wanted to say "comically tall" but Durant exists.
Thought he plays PF? Maybe he'll be an SF in the NBA, but everything I've seen of him has him discussed as a power forward.
Ah... when people weren't comparing him to white players I saw a fair number of comparisons to Iguodala so maybe that's where I got the idea he was going to be an SF at the next level. We'll see I guess.
Iggy played a ton of PF especially on those Warriors teams. It's a switchable position these days, so depending on his skillset he'll probably see time at both.
Who in the fuck has Nate Duncan been talking to that thinks Trey Murphy is a good individual defender??? Even Pels fans that love him have been bagging on his defense. lol
Listened to enough guest appearances by Nate on podcasts to know that he's... not very well informed. I imagine he confused him with Herb, which, uh.
Nate Duncan is exposing Nate Duncan as one of the more overrated Twitter posters in the world right now
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostAce Bailey has more potential as an NBA player.I don't think so but I will keep this poll in mind and not make any firm declarations about high school aged players. Except on Cam Boozer, dude destroyed Amen's league last year at 15 years old.
(For people who don't want to click through: 3 years ago 75% of NBA_Draft readers thought Emoni Bates was a better prospect than Wembanyama, the top comment compares Emoni to LeBron and KD and Wemby to Hasheem Thabeet).

Those people are crazy though. Between Flagg and Bailey though, I don't like the prospects that play on loaded MonteVerde teams, they never turn out great in the NBA. I think dumb ass Gilbert Arenas has a good point about letting his son play on a regular HS team instead of some place like Sierra Canyon or whatever other HS all-star team there is. Gil said it's good for his son to see doubles and triples and all types of defenses that he wouldn't see if he played on some HS college factory team.
Bailey vs Cooper, think Bailey has the better offensive game right now, more varied ways of scoring. He had a game this season with 33 points on 4 dribbles total. He'll be at Rutgers of all places, so we'll see.
By Koko Go To PostDepending who is drafting 1st wouldn't surprised me if Maluach goes first. If Maluach goes first in the Cooper Flagg draft, centers are officially back.
