Smokey I watched all of Landale's minutes in the second half and he looked awesome and pretty much daggered the Bulls when they were coming back. Why do you hate him so much? Not even trolling.

You just happen to literally catch his best game of the year. He has not been good this year. Better late than never I guess.
By DY_nasty Go To PostOrlando bench is highly problematicusually great benches are old dudes and maybe a decent 6th man. I don't know if we have seen a bench mob like the Magic before..
Huh is the Mavs keep playing well they avoid the play-in. Seems to be guaranteed if they beat the kings when they play next week. Having the tie breaker vs the Suns is paying off

Kings and Suns have a top 3 hardest schedule left.
By blackace Go To PostDid Reed Shepherd get locked up by the Oakland Golden Grizzlies?
It was very bad

I'm hoping Ingram only hyper-extended his knee last night and didn't absolutely wreck it. He was on pace to play the most games since his rookie year while also actually using his size on defense and rebounding. :(
By blackace Go To PostDid Reed Shepherd get locked up by the Oakland Golden Grizzlies? He had a terrible game but it was more about him looking terrified to shoot than actually being locked up.
That's equally bad, imo. Irrational confidence is needed of shooters in the NBA. He's still a top 10 pick in the draft, but that is pretty worrisome.

It was also pretty clear that the whole team was not prepared for how to attack Oakland's zone which is more on Calipari than Reed. Dillingham was also struggling to get good looks and took only a few more shots than Reed, and he is the dictionary definition of irrational confidence.
By Kibner Go To PostDamn, I didn't think saying he should still be a top 10 pick was writing him off.Haha I guess that's fair, I'm just seeing some really dumb overreactions elsewhere. I still think he should go top 5, basically everyone else people want to put there has huge red flags that extend well beyond just tournament play.

Who would you draft for the Wiz at this point Sharp?
Haven't gotten a chance to dig deep into the candidates this year but this is as bad as I've seen in a while. Feels worse to me than 2013.

You guys are drafting Dillingham
That is 100% a wiz pick
By Dark PhaZe Go To PostWho would you draft for the Wiz at this point Sharp?Topic. I would also be happy with Reed but I think for him to thrive he needs to play next to a superstar big, and the Wizards don't have one and likely won't for the foreseeable future. Topic is one of the most gifted slashing guard prospects ever and creates insane numbers of shots, and I'm also not worried about his shooting because his FT% his elite over a three year sample. He also actually carried his team while he was healthy unlike the other European prospects people are getting hyped over this year. The Wizards are kind of the only team that really wants a guy like that since almost every lottery team is already set at point for the moment (except the Spurs, but they might not want someone as aggressively on ball as Topic is).

I need to add DY to my group chat cuz one of my friends is a Mavs fan and makes PJ sound like the missing piece to a championship

By Εspi Go To PostI need to add DY to my group chat cuz one of my friends is a Mavs fan and makes PJ sound like the missing piece to a championshipMaybe he would help against OKC since Chet also lacks the strength to deal with him right now, but all the other real contenders have stronger, older centers who that isn't going to work on. PJ overall is pretty mediocre defensively. Also his offensive ineptitude meant the Mavs still lost the Wemby minutes even with him shooting like that, lol.

A zone is the easiest defense to pop off on if you’re a shooter though. You don’t need a coach to tell you how to do that against a zone. If you’re a slasher that might be different. Mans from Oakland launched 20 of them things and hit 10. Sheppard looked extremely shook. He’s still going to be a high pick, just wasn’t a good look against a school named Oakland that resides in Michigan.
Teague didn't want to say it, but he said it. Point guards have to think for the other *9* players on the court.

Harsh, but I guess Josh Hart deserves it
Someone is going to think they can make it work defensively on the perimeter with him and waste a 1st rounder
I would absolutely spend a second rounder on him without thinking though
