Meanwhile...
His 1.33 pps on guarded jumpers is higher than Edey's average pps on all shots, which I find incredibly funny considering Edey basically doesn't shoot when he's more than 3 feet from the rim.

Eye test . This guy been dookie all year.
Also , we have the Nets pick unprotected. Who do you think we should get in say the 5-7 range. I know this draft is ass but still. And there’s this next year:
By Smokey Go To PostEye test . This guy been dookie all year.Hmmm it's really hard to say because nobody actually knows who's going top 5. Basically your whole fanbase wants Reed Sheppard from what I can tell but I don't think he'll be available by the time of the Nets pick (if I'm wrong they will 100% grab him there). There are a handful of other good shooters in the draft but most of them have big enough weaknesses in other aspects of their game that I think it's unlikely you'd draft them at 5-7 and would just take "BPA" (whoever that is). That, or you might actually take Dalton Knecht :|

It’s unprotected this year. I was posting about next years situation because this draft is ass.
By reilo Go To PostThat says 2025?

Dunn is close to the worst of these guys on offense and the list has some real duds, but in this draft some team will take a flier on him.
I'd be happy with getting a possible Herb Jones level defender as a mid first round pick given the quality of this draft

yeah let's start rolling this out into league pass
By pilonv1 Go To PostAnytime they say a player should ideally be playing with a floor spacing five it's a huge red flag.
Sarr sounds like Wiseman, well worth a #2 pick
By reilo Go To PostAdam Silver: hey guys, I know just the fix. MORE GAMBLING
All of this massive all-in on gambling last decade (along with a host of other things) has me more and more buying this sentiment:
By masud Go To PostAnytime they say a player should ideally be playing with a floor spacing five it's a huge red flag. There's a non-negligible chance Edey ends up being better than him. I would not draft him #1 personally, maybe not even top 5. But he's high enough in mocks by guys like Givony that clearly front offices really like him, so presumably they're seeing something intriguing beyond "tall lanky French center = Wemby."
Speaking of the French prospects, Risacher played today and you can watch the whole thing on Youtube. He scored six points and sat more than half the game with foul trouble, but his team blew the other team out. Both are fairly typical of that team this season (they are really good even when he's not playing which is somewhat concerning to me). I haven't watched the whole thing but from what I saw he barely touched the ball on offense and pretty much just stood in the corner the whole time, but was more active defensively. I feel like a hell of a lot of his draft stock is riding on his 43 3P% this year being real, which would be easier to swallow if he wasn't sub-70% from the line...
Sarr looks like worse French AD to me especially if he's in love with his bad jumpshot. I don't like it, but his defensive mobility is undeniable.
harlabob had a great series of tweets on this a few days ago

It went from illegal to wild wild west. The pendulum swung real hard once people saw the profit margins and tax revenue. It's gross.
Won't someone think of the those wholesome kids so generously paying for tax cuts for the rich. Who are we to be hostile towards their kindness?
By reilo Go To PostSarr looks like worse French AD to me especially if he's in love with his bad jumpshot. I don't like it, but his defensive mobility is undeniable.Hmmmm without writing a whole wall of text about it I feel like he's more like a worse French Mobley (people want to say JJJ but I think he's way more Mobley). Except that there are legit questions about his defense, not just his offense, considering he can't even get starter minutes on his good team which was ranked second in the league (and also has the second worst net rating on his team, -9 per 40 minutes, even though he was coming off the bench and most of the other bench players on the team had a positive +/-). I get that with his dimensions and mobility he has every chance of being a star, and he's really young so it would be pretty normal for him to take huge leaps over the next few years, I just think the bust risk is quite high.
i'm saved from all those gambing commercials because it's illegal here but whenever i switch over to league pass.. that shit is nonstop.
By DY_nasty Go To Postnu sam dalembert you can say itlol I am trying not to be too harsh because prospects are usually not perfect, that's why they're prospects. But man is it hard to get excited about a lot of these guys, especially after last year's class.

I find it incredibly funny that Tatum is the only starter on the Celtics who insists on playing every regular season game.
