By DY_nasty Go To PostIt's a matter of offense as a whole, yeah. He gets a good shot there often for sure - but the space that occupies is typically for high post facilitators or active drives that force the first of many possible defensive responses.
Its efficient for him but selfish straight up. If he forced his way to the line beyond his laughable free throw rate or was an Antwan Jamison level passer from that area, things would be completely different. As is, he's setting weak and confusing screens then immediately guarding half of Portland's floor himself.
I'm surprised Chris Paul put up with him as long as he did. He fried Blake for less.
Like I said, I don't entirely disagree. He's a barely passable screen setter. He's facilitated OK when he doesn't have the shot from what I've seen but that could also definitely be better.
I could see his game driving guards that also like to operate in the midrange NUTS (like Chris Paul and Devin Booker) but if you're a rim and 3 type of guard I think it's a thing you can work with pretty easy. You pass if you get doubled and he'll either get the long 2 or dunk if they're loose on the coverage- I watch him do this all night, every night. He's been legit great at that, and keeping the ball high so he doesn't turn it over. But if he learns how to foul grift out of pressure he's gonna make all the $$$$$. We're talking like mid-70s TS type of stuff.
Last night would have been an absolute disaster if he wasn't out there. They would have doubled Anfernee all night and the team would have been lucky to score 80 points. But he also could have easily had a 40 piece if he was willing to be physical.
By DY_nasty Go To PostFake shooting games against Jared Butler who was literally tripping over his own feet are not going to fool me into buying Jalen Green stocks.

By Sharp Go To PostSome guys in the league just don't like to take contact and Ayton is a good example of that… hard to draw fouls without that.reminders me of Al Jefferson
I been watching all the TNT games on overtime stream. No announcers is by far the best thing about it, but close second is that it's the NBA 2k cam. I feel like the NBA should have that broadcast option for every game cause most people playing 2k use that camera and it's better to see the plays and spacing with it.
By Smokey Go To PostA legit turnaround too lolGreen has been balling this little run
That mans inspired ðŸ˜
Kuzma gotta be the most self-unaware person ever
Even during that losing streak the Pistons were still only like 2 games behind the Wiz

Just coasting until he gets traded or his contract is up
Poole too but he’ll get traded this off-season most likely

You sure Knecht is going top 5 Dy? Lower dunk% and 2P% this season than Reed "small, tiny wingspan, unathletic" Sheppard BTW.

By diehard Go To Postsaw a mock draft that had us taking Kyle Filipowski because of courseWhy wouldn't you just start the dominant rim protecting center you already have? Actually I'm in general just confused about what's going on with Kessler, is he still coming back from injury?
By Sharp Go To PostWhy wouldn't you just start the dominant rim protecting center you already have? Actually I'm in general just confused about what's going on with Kessler, is he still coming back from injury?Everybody is confused. Nobody thinks that John Collins is better than him.
(he's in bit of a sophomore slump and he and IMO he has confidence issues where he will have a bad game and it affects him for multiple games)
By diehard Go To PostEverybody is confused. Nobody thinks that John Collins is better than him.I feel like if a dude has confidence issues and your response is to bench him and mess with his minutes instead of letting him play through it, you're probably not helping... but what do I know

By reilo Go To PostJohn Collins is playing center?Yeah, sadly.
By DY_nasty Go To Postbtw how is georgeI'm still a bit on the fence on how good he will be where most other Jazz fans are totally buying in. He came in being a way way better passer/creator than anyone expected but his scoring was basically nonexistent, now he is transitioning more into a scoring guard and been doing pretty well lately (like 17pts 5ast on 45/45/80) for the last ~15 games.
I always say how all i want to see from a rookie are flashes, and he is showing that. I realize there was basically no breakdown of his game in this post.
By DY_nasty Go To Postget ready for "is this the new stockton?" takes when reed hits the combineHe got 14 points on 6 shots in the first half and has taken only one shot in the second half because Texas A&M is guarding him like he's Curry lol.

With his first pick Ainge will take the best athlete that can dribble, Castle is an Ainge pick.
By You got 14 bricks right there? Go To PostWith his first pick Ainge will take the best athlete that can dribble, Castle is an Ainge pick.I don't think you can predict Ainge's picks like that because he almost never picks busts in the first round even with late picks, and picking the best athlete who can dribble is a great way to pick busts.

He loves athletes, that's his MO, sometimes it's an athlete that can attack like Jaylen, other times it's an athlete that can't dribble but can shoot like Neismith. Sometimes it's an athlete that can't do anything like Langford.
Whoever the best athlete that has some skills that's still there is getting drafted. If he could get Cody Williams that would probably be his top choice.

Oh wait I guess he didn't actually draft Bane, NM.
the reffing in this game is so inconsistent
first half was guys just bludgeoning each other with no calls
second half is touch fouls
i just don't understand

If he could get Sheppard he'd do that make no mistake, but i can't see him drafting Filipowski if there's an athletic wing with some potential still on the board.
I'm an Ainge truther, he's a great GM.
