Obviously won’t happen, but there’d be something very funny about Spurs winning the league the year Kane leaves.
Not to mention Neverkusen finally doing it too, lol

Bringing on Johnson too. May as well start pop-locking in the technical area while he's at it.
Has Andersen considered volleying the ball into the top corner again?

By Laboured Go To PostSpurs brothers, please lend us some of your xLuck.
We were not prepared for a Spurs title challenge and James Maddison being a PL POTY contender.
I used to get into offline arguments with casuals all the time I'd rather have Son over Neymar since he gives similar production costing way less and doesn't bring any drama or injury issues. Now Neymar is dead in an irrelevant league throwing his career away at 31 and Son is the league leading goal scorer for the first place PL team.

Winning and good vibes breeds more of the same. The league is decided when things get tough. See Arsenal last season.
imagine if we had bought madison instead of 65m for a kai havertz that isnt even in the starting xi now
love edu and arteta but that move hasnt paid off yet

By Laboured Go To PostProbably fine. He'll win Bundesliga and go on a good CL run.Yep. It’s Tuchel that will be in trouble. I still don’t think he’ll be there after the season is over…

lolspurs didn’t lolspurs it.
Girona are smoking top of the league cigars too.
There’s plenty of Spiced Rum to be had….
…and I’m not back in at work until Wednesday.

Doubt it, that's like five extra games if they go on a decent run
I expect they'll drop off soon enough and it'll be pretty steep though

Why will it be steep? Playing well, good manager, no fixture pile up. Already played Liverpool, Arsenal and United. Would be surprised if they didn’t finish top 5 at this rate.

Just feel that teams riding momentum whilst not actually playing that well tend to go on a poor run after a stumble. Maybe I'm being harsh though since their run of form has been 10 matches which is a good chunk of the season. Read elsewhere that eight of their first ten games against the other top eleven teams are at home, so I can easily see them dropping quite quickly in the second half of the season.
I think we’re actually playing quite well though, having not seen this game. Statistically and by the eye test, we’re good. That said we’re extremely weak in depth, so losing a CB before January would be a disaster
I won't pretend that I'm not massively bitter over you playing shite against nine men and beating us with a last minute own goal.
Reasonable, but given the amount of times we’ve thrown the ball in our own goal against you, barely breaks even
By Cleff Go To PostAnwar El Ghazi showed solidarity to those in Palestine that are currently facing death from an indiscriminate bombing campaign.
Loses his job for it.
By WoodenLung Go To PostDo you think Germany is a little weird about Jewish stuff?
Seems like Liverpool is as well. Disgraceful.

I think they’ve mostly been very good, to be honest. Is the consensus they aren’t playing well?
Reminds me of what he said after Liverpool lost to Northampton during his ill-fated run
“These players have to accept responsibility. I accept responsibility for changing a lot of players in the team, I did it because I honestly thought the players I put on the field were good enough to win the game and they weren't. The obvious conclusion to that was I shouldn't have changed that many players but we should have been strong enough to get a result. We must all take our responsibility. I am just bitterly disappointed that the team I had so much faith in did not repay that faith this evening with the exception of one or two performances.”
He is the only manager I’ve ever seen at Liverpool who openly disparaged his own players. He publicly shat on Glen Johnson and called a majority of our signings as “expensive failures”

No Mudryk or Enzo today. But Madueke lives. Odd that Gusto doesn't start, but Poch likes Disasi so he's back in there with Colwill at LB.

Cucurella at RB then?
Thought it would be interesting to see how the players from the winning squad were doing now. This was the team in the final:
Notable unused substitutes were Sancho & Smith-Rowe.
Most of the players from the final are plying their trade in the EPL, including the manager Steve Cooper.
Curtis Anderson has fallen off massively. Was playing for Man City academy at the time, and is now playing for Bootle in the 8th tier of English football. Edit: Actually, he signed this month for Kendal Town FC in the 9th tier.
Joel Latibeaudiere was the captain. We signed him in the summer and he already switched allegiance to Jamaica, with 7 caps so far.
George McEachran is in League Two with Swindon.
Tashan Oakley-Boothe is in League One with Blackpool.
Sub Nya Kirby is playing in the National League with Oxford City.
A couple of the players in the squad now play abroad, Josef Bursik with Club Brugge and Danny Loader with Porto
By KimoSan Go To Postbut Poch likes Disasi LB.
I really do not understand this one. lad has showed nothing so far, that should make him a starter for chelsea. hopefully badiashile gets the chance soon, and maybe, just maybe... it's time to stop relying on thiago silva soon.
Brentford tends to do well against the top 6, but Chelsea have a very strong defensive record so I’m not holding out hope for an upset
By n8 dogg Go To PostCucurella at RB then?Yes. He was out there during that stretch with Gusto suspended. He's been very good. Very eager to defend and mix it up.
I guess Poch didn't like Gusto losing track of Trossard on that goal. 🫤

We know Silva is likely done after this year and Colwill now signed and paid is the future. Disasi must be doing something right in training because there's no reason why Maatsen couldn't be played at LB with Chilwell and James out and the FB situation scrambled.
By FortuneFaded Go To PostGet Zola in.
Sterling did the math on that ball and the defenders position and just collapsed. Someone will eventually get on the end of these excellent balls Palmer is lobbing in there though.
By NiceGuy Go To PostGet Zola in.I am wondering if Rooney can get lower than Zola's 8.3% win rate at Birmingham.
