By NiceGuy Go To PostIs that the same Garry Cook who was an absolute PR disaster zone for Man City?Yes: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Garry_Cook_(executive)
In August 2008 he criticised club captain Richard Dunne, who the fans had voted player of the year for the previous four seasons,[3] saying: "China and India are gagging for football content to watch and we're going to tell them that City is their content. We need a superstar to get through that door. Richard Dunne doesn't roll off the tongue in Beijing".
He also said of Thaksin, "Is he a nice guy? Yes. Is he a great guy to play golf with? Yes. Has he got the finances to run a club? Yes….Whether he's guilty of something over there, I can't worry too much about….Morally, I feel comfortable in this environment".
He made a gaffe by welcoming Uwe Rösler to the Manchester United Hall of Fame instead of the Manchester City Hall of Fame, and was booed by Manchester City fans. He wrote apology letters to 70 Manchester City supporters' clubs.
In September 2011, Cook offered his resignation after insensitive email allegations towards a player's mother. Manchester City's outgoing chief executive Garry Cook offered no apology last night and portrayed himself as a victim of a "personal" focus as he resigned over an email to the mother of defender Nedum Onuoha, which mocked her fight with cancer.

By Xpike Go To PostIf Hazard wanted he probably could've been at least CR7 levelNah.
But all in all he won everything there was to be won at club level, got a shitton of money, doubt he has many regrets aside from the France match in 2018
Hazard was absolutely incredible and gifted but I don't think he could have gone much higher than he did in his peak.
One of the epl greats though and an actually entertaining Chelsea player for once.
By Perfect Blue Go To PostEden Hazard retiring oof, rest well legend.Always found it amusing that Chelsea won the UCL before his first season and after his last there.
Hazard didn't want to do anything other than play attacking football, eat and go home to play with his kids and eat more. Yes, he could have been in the gym during the summer and shown up better prepared, but when you have so much natural talent, and certain things seem to come so easily to you, it's likely difficult to stay 100% committed.
I do appreciate that he never got in trouble; seemed like a good teammate; and is overall a well respected player and person. Also, completely giving up on any professional aspirations once he arrived in Spain is a baller move after such a huge transfer fee.

By bud Go To Postanyone else get the feeling rooney will turn into a great manager? i dunno, there’s something about the lad.I respect the road he's going. Getting up to speed on smaller teams and gradually improving his reputation as a football coach.
I also think he's gonna have a good career as a manager.
