Had the misfortune of listening to Neville speaking about Man U yesterday. Can’t do much until the “cultural reset”, is it me…or has Big Ange already reset the culture at Spurs in about 3 months?
Took Arteta like 3 years to get Arsenal going in the direction they are. 8th, 8th, 5th. Finish inhis first three seasons.
The form of our players is disgusting. The whole team and manager are in the mud. We just can't score. The entire front line is crap right now. Nothing we're doing is working.
Frustrating to watch. We thought the culture had been reset and then the summer happened. Also, Rashford purple patch masked a lot last season of deficiencies.
Ready to accept the pain. Just want to see us string 4 passes together.

Outside of that, yeah, it's still surprising just how similar United are now to the last few managers. Even the football isn't as different as you'd expect.
I think we largely all knew the rot was deeper, but it's astonishing how many staff you can rotate and still it persists

For all the lolspurs that I go on about, our biggest problem was always the football on the pitch. Say what you like about Levy, but at least the club is in good shape. Spurs have always been about the "vibes", and that's why Ange has managed to turn it around in a short amount of time. He doesn't have the "win a trophy now!" to worry about, and his personality has easily rubbed off on the players too. It also fucking helps that Kane is no longer the focal point for everything. So things are much much easier.
I expect many a lolspurs along the way (next weekend, actually), but the start has been sensational. It's great to see the players having a lot of fun. Even your favourite Porro is alive!
By Batong Go To PostAbolish football, ScumThe officials will screw us over next weekend to make things right, mate. Don't you worry.
Ange definitely has the air about him of a manager who is good at both sides of the job, but from what I can see the only cultural shift happening at Spurs is that they’re winning games now. It looks to me like what Scum is saying. The change is in the football. The air about the club shifting toward positivity is a reflection of that.
It’s a small thing but I also think it sent a message about what kind of manager he is when he took Romero off early after he got dizzied by a head bonk.

So what I'm getting from the PGMOL statement is the next time an opposition scores if we just take a free kick instead of going back to the center circle we can just pretend nothing happened and theres not a thing the refs can do.
Terms like reset the culture can be nebulous. Every club is different with it's own set of issues.
Ange is doing very well right now. But the sample size is not big enough to come to a conclusion.
Spurs will be playing one game a week until January. That's huge. I reckon they might get second or top 3.
They will have a say on where the title goes.

I disagree with the idea that it's just the football, the vibes we're rotten before because people hated the man management of the last two real manageres we had (sorry Nuno)
Before we had played a game there was excitement from the players in how they were being treated. The same time last year, Conte was falling out with Romero, saying that Yves wasn't tactically good enough, and that he didn't want Spence. Whether or not that's a good assessment of the players, he wasn't good culturally for the club

Well I’d say part of resetting the culture should be to be against letting Greenwood back into the fold.
But yeah. That was less of an ETH dog and more praise for Ange. It’s very early still, but the difference in the style of play, and the quality of the play, is pretty staggering and years of Mou/Conte/Nuno. And yeah, if you play well and win games everything kind of flows from that. Conte spoke a lot about the culture and how Spurs being losers was ingrained into the fabric of the club, which everyone agreed with at the time.
Not to mention losing Kane too.

Decisions like that should be happeneing more frequently, regardless of what the player thinks.

N8 vs Dazen
I wasn't there at the time to add n8 and Daz to the official rankings but it's up there with zabo vs hixx for sure
There’s been a lot of mutinying among the Man Utd ranks recently. Happens when a team is in bad form.

I wasn’t thinking in terms of excuses, more questioning their appointment for a Saturday. Also 3-4 hours is a pretty significant change.

How are you feeling about poch, team thus far and do you think he'll last?
Disappointing doesn’t even begin to describe it tbh. Poch is going to be sacked unless he manages to turn it around quickly.

It's 24 degrees in London rn

Poch is going to be sacked unless he manages to turn it around quickly. The injuries have piled up, and are continuing to, but the quality of football really has been atrocious. Despite that, I don't feel his job is in jeopardy at all yet. I don't think we're anywhere near that conversation actually.

By Dazenheimer Go To PostI am in favour of scrapping VAR all together.
It's killed the enjoyment of the game for me.
Nah I think VAR is great in the right hands. Just take your time to get to the right decision, who fucking cares if takes 10 minutes, just roll out ads for TV audience and make a Kiss Cam in the stadium for the supporters on site. Get the mascots out to take a few penalties while everyone chills.
What they need to do is improve the quality of VAR refs, those guys fold under the slightest hint of pressure and they are tripping over themselves trying to reach a conclusion fast enough.
Worst thing was seeing 'VAR check complete' for 10 mins on the screens in the stadium after the decision. Like they couldn't even change it.
