I wish they'd remove the damned athletics track.

By fadetoblack Go To PostTeams are already picking at Parma's corpse. We've just signed a 16 year old forward Alberto Cerri. Their youth academy is going to be basically divided amongst the big 5 in Serie A.Cerri was basically our most promising native Parma player, too bad he never got the chance.
Wait are we also signing Saponara?? How'd that happen? I recall the hype on him dying down…
Fuck you Timurid. You follow a league that has less meaning than dead leagues. Choke on my fucking dick you French necrophile.

godly
By Esch Go To PostThat's kinda exactly what we need though. No-nonsense, just intercept the ball and pass it away somewhere safe while providing cover?
i know you love dat creativity but we could use some metronome roboticness on our team, whoever he plays alongside in that pivot is going to roam all over the place unless its Coquelin really.
We already have that though, and I don't think any top team has, or needs two pure destroyers.
I am about that aesthetic ish, but this isn't even about that tbh, it's about our build up play. When you've got a DM who only plays it square or safe or whatever, it'll force players like Ozil and Alexis to drop deeper to get us going, and thus away from areas of real danger. This was a huge problem last season, and as much as Wenger was saying he'd like Sanchez to make more runs, the dude didn't really have much choice but to drop because the CM pair simply weren't finding the players ahead of them. Obviously getting Ramsey back in the middle will help, but even his best form came alongside a distributor in Arteta.
I dunno man, look at all the best teams in Europe. The CL semis "DMs" were Busquets, Xabi, Kroos, and Pirlo. The best midfielder in the competition besides them was Verratti. I don't think any of that is a coincidence tbh. Even Chelsea's "DM" can slip passes through the lines.
But maybe I'm underrating Morgan's distribution. If he comes I hope I am.

Timely reminder that any of the good work done with the supposed grassroots revolution will become apparent in a decade or more, not now
This bunch of knobends is no more promising than the current senior team were.

what grassroots revolution?
By Facism Go To Postlooks like English football is rotten all the way down
By Fergie Go To PostFair lot your favourites did Southgate.Must be tough getting a good U21 manager in
He won't get sacked either.
1) Its a step down from most senior jobs
2) They have to be focus on efficiency/results and developing players, when the two must clash regularly
Other countries manage it though, while we ended up with Pearce and Southgate.
By L1NETT Go To Postwhat grassroots revolution? The one the FA go on about for a couple of weeks every 2 years when we get bombed out of tournaments. 99% sure its all hot air, and there's not much actually being done about it day-to-day
You'd think that if England's two strikers can score 40ish goals between them in the Best League in the World (TM) then they wouldn't flop but…
