Those erasers clapping and buttfuck lines literally make no sense
It was so humourless. Felt like a parody of itself sometimes :lol
Will stick with it. Was decent enough.

Di Marzio saying we're back in for Kovacic, £21m. Crazy if we got him.
By nate Go To PostThose erasers clapping and buttfuck lines literally make no senseThere was a great article on Entertainment Weekly or Esquire or some similar publication where both the journalist and Pizzaman were trying to one-up each other in the wanky-pretentiousness stakes.

Yeah TD was alright, don't really know where the story is going yet and that dialogue :lol
It worked when McConagnhey was saying all this philosophical stuff and shit, cos he was an interesting character, and you also had Harrelson reacting to it lol, but man, the 4 leads are quite dull by comparison
Will see if it grows on me innit

Yeah the dialog in True D was shitty. Thing is for me I thought it was shirty in S1 too, so I wasn't sure quite what people saw in s2 ep 1 that was so much worse.

Better actor(s), character(s), better sense of purpose and focus early on, stronger conceit, better and more unusual locale, some humour...
By Yurt Go To Postthe writing was incredibly bad. Like Jurassic Park sequel bad

You're 12 years old, and you're already evil as fuck (that scene was the worst)
I'll come back and butt-fuck your father with your mom's headless corpse on this lawn
the hippie dad
and too fucking much (unnecessary) exposition. Sometimes they tell you their whole back story in one exchange
Those are real quotes? Jesus Christ
By nate Go To PostBetter actor(s), character(s), better sense of purpose and focus early on, stronger conceit, better and more unusual locale, some humour…The focus part is really the most annoying part.
You had the case in S1 and that was the focus, characters slowly developed over time and the whole relationship dynamic between them was building up pretty good.
Here we got 4 characters, with no real connection and the focus was barely build up until the it really showed at the end of the episode.
They basically just showed every character and how fucked up he/she is, really curious how they want to get it going.
It just feels like a puzzle that wasn't set together that well.
Damn, £29m. Thought it'd be 20 at most. Maybe we figured the situation was as I said it was yesterday, and just overpaid to get it done quickly. Overpaying to the tune of nearly £10m though...
Oh well, maybe he'll be boss and turn out to be a bargain anyway. Guess it means we'll have to focus on what we absolutely need rather than being able to sign some depth as well, since the Sterling money will now only cover 2 players probably, hopefully Firmino and Clyne. Then we spend our normal, pre-sales budget on Bacca or someone, and maybe call it a day.
Don't much see the point in signing Firmino and Kovacic, unless I've underestimated our budget and we can afford a £40m+ net-spend this summer. And if that's the case and we neglect to sign a DM or LB, I'm not sure that's clever.
Not that excited since I've never actually seen him play. In fact, the only thing I've seen is that sitter he missed the other day. £29m for that, fucking hell :P

29 is fine for a player who will be starting every game for us. Pretty standard fare. Suarez cost us what 24m, and Torres 26m? Given how much money is in the game, 29 is a decent price. Hell United spent more than that on a nobody Spanish midfielder.
Looking forward to his workrate as much as anything
Since Suarez left, our ability to win the ball high up the pitch has fallen off a cliff.

3 very good summers.
By wedward Go To Post3 very good summers.
But, were they? Arsenal's team has come together slowly, but if you look at the previous 2 summers individually I don't think they are very good.
13/14 had just 3 players - Sanogo who did nothing, Flamini who was fine on a free and Ozil, who for 42million seemed a bit of a waste of money after the first season.
In 14/15 Sanchez was a great success, but this is balanced by the 44million squandered on Chambers, Welbeck and Debuchy.
That Arsenal's team is in a good state now seems much more to do with the likes of Ramsey, Bellerin, Coquelin among others, with Sanchez the only major improvement.
TD s1 was a self-indulgent, incoherent mess.
that Wenger is no longer selling one or two key players each summer makes it a huge improvement by default.

Based on 7 minutes of YouTube, he looks really good. His contributions are coming from all over the place, not sure if that's cos he has a free role at Hoffenheim, or if he just plays in different positions game-by-game.

Feels like this thread is almost as slow as the gaf one at this moment
I don't think it's because theres no football either(copa america, womens wc, U21 euro, u20 wc, transfer market, new formations, friendlies, international football etc barely get any posts)
6 OTs in just over 4 months is still a damn lot, just feels slow atm I guess.
